Peugeot 306 Imobiliser problems - andyrhysjones

I've just had a new engine fitted in a P reg 306 Turbo Diesel, the imobiliser seems to be not taking the code though, the bloke who's fitted the engine has tried putting in 1111 then cancel and the actual code but the red light keeps on flashing.

Is there a problem because of the new engine?

As far as I know, the immobiliser is linked to the fuel pump and from what I\'ve heard, it is a pain at times! High milage cars often end up having to bypass the immobiliser inside the fuel pump.
