Audi A4 Avant 2003/2004 - Which Injectors ? - Steveieb

A question for Avant maybe or 659, who is the fountain of all knowledge on VW PD engines.

I have an Audi A3 2003 1.9 TDi which I assume is fitted with the Bosch injectors.

But I would dearly like to get hold of an A4 Avant 1.9 TDI around the same age.

The question is how can i find out if it is fitted with the reliable Bosch injectors or the later piezo siemens ones which cause so much grief ?

Pretty sure that a 2003/2004 1.9 will have Bosch solenoid injectors. In fact I'm sure all the 1.9 tdi 8 valve heads have Bosch solenoids. The Siemens piezo units, as far as I can remember, were fitted onto the 16 valve 2.0 tdi PD versions
