vw sharan - air con pump seizure - chrystal

have had 2 air con pumps seize in a month,any idea why?

One possibility is that when the original pump failed,the correct procedure for flushing and cleaning and replacing filters etc was not adopted .Consequently,any debris that has been left by the original compressor has been sucked into the new one and caused damage.How old is the car?

the car is 2007.have only had the car a month and this is 2nd time it has gone.a cloud of black smoke appears from under the bonnet,which turns out to be the belt burning rubber before it snaps.

So was the system flushed and filter replaced before the new pump was fitted,also was the oil in the new pump checked for quantity???
