Removing wax from black trim - ruralrelic

Is there a product on sale for removing residue polishing wax which has inadvertently strayed onto black trim?

That is a product to remove the wax, not just 'black' over it.

If a black preparation is used the white wax residue very quickly shows through again.

Advice appreciated.

Back to Black or similar stuff from Poundland. A clear spray which works for me.

Many thanks for your input. I will certainly try this.

Have also tried a soft pencil rubber on the black wheel trims, seems fairly successful. I will follow this up with a trim wax or Back to Black.

You used to be able to get a polish called Diamondbrite. Not only was it the best polish I've ever used in terms of shine, but it also wiped off from trim very easily. Don't know if it's still available though.

Meguiars cleaning products are very good. Not cheap (around a tenner) but superb results and it lasts a long time.
