February 2005
Bizarre. Last week, on the way out of the office carpark, saw a yellow lambo murcielago (sp) parked up in one of the bays downstairs. I stopped, and got out to have a look. Very nice indeed.
Now, Lambos are dead rare here in SA - there's probably only a few dozen in the entire country - and they very rarely come out to play! I have probably seen maybe five in the last 10 years. (Including that FUGLY 4x4 thingy - which doesn't really count, does it?)
I said to the lads in the office: "Did you see that Lambo downstairs yesterday?", and nobody had. "You should have called us!" they chorussed!
SO!
Today I drive in, and there's a bright red Diablo parked up!
Wow, I think, and stroll down to have a look... The security guard wanders across, and we get chatting - the thing is owned by one of the tenants, and this morning, at 3am, he'd phoned up, asking that the security guards open the roller shutter to let him in.
He has a problem - car stuck in third. He's SNAPPED the gearlever off!!!!
Apparently he has to rev the daylights out of it, to get it rolling and then "attacks" the ramp to get to the parking level!!!
He parks the thing up, and gets somebody to come and fetch him. the gearshift is still lying on the passenger seat - the 'shaft' is about the thickness of a pencil (titanium perhaps).
Anyways, some nice eye-candy for the day - and I've phoned all the lads to make sure they can go and have a look.
(Oh - according to the security chap, the owner's 'young lady friend' was less than impressed with the whole performance!!)

i have a breath analizer (?spelling) and agree with bobby g above but if that journey is a must i can at least check if not absolutely clear on my machine then i wont take the risk it just helps to give that little bit more peace of mind if the machine shows absolutely no trace of alcohol i feel better as it's usually next afternoon when you feel fine appear fine but you still hear the stories of other people who have gone out thinking they were ok next day only to get stopped and find they are still over i will only drive if the machine i use shows no trace at all as i dont know it's true accuracy i wont take chances if it shows anything at all...cheers...keo

Strange. If she's charging by the hour you'd think she'd prefer him to take a while to get home?
