What causes my Vauxhall Zafira to blow a fuse?

My 2011 Vauxhall Zafira keeps blowing a fuse. The engine cuts out when the fuse blows and the starter motor won't turn over to restart the engine until a new fuse is put in. It has been getting worse over time and now the car will only run for a minute or two until the fuse again fails. Can you tell me what might be causing this?

It reads like this relates to fuse F30, which manages power to the engine management system (your driver's handbook should be able to confirm this).

I would suspect that it may be water getting into the ECU which then results in the fuse blowing. Check that you have a splash cover fitted under the engine which stops water from getting into the ECU. If that doesn't fix the problem then it may be a fault in the wiring loom (like a broken wire).
