Should I claim against Volkswagen for the emissions scandal?

I owned an Audi for seven years that was affected by the diesel emission scandal. Although I sold the car twi years ago I notice that there are legal firms offering to make a group claim against Volkswagen. I am sure that the value of this vehicle fell considerably in the few months before I sold it due to the emissions scandal. Please can you advise whether it is worth making a claim and if so the best way to proceed?
