  I have a problem with the power steering on my peugeot 405 1.9 turbo diesel. When turning right the steering is very stiff and notchy but when turning left it\'s ok. Has anyone got any ideas as to the problem .

  I have read in Honest John that this is a fairly common problem on this model. The car was bought from a Ford dealership & has been maintained by them. Can anyone tell me whether this failure, after such a mileage, is likely to get Ford to make a contribution to the repair cost. Thanks for any advice.

  Can anyone explain why Ford's quote such very, very low towing weight limits for both the Tourneo Connect and Grand? They appear to vary between 750kg and 1200kg when an average loaded caravan weighs circa 1500kg. These are van based cars and as such are surely built very strongly and appear to use powertrains that handle much higher weights in other Ford cars.
