  There is a lovely 1961 Aston Martin DB4 SIII, the purest and best looking of the DB Series. But for me, the car of the sale, is a relatively humble Dagenham built 1935 Ford Model 48 sedan.   Ford only ever assembled 616 Model V8-48s at Dagenham; as roadsters, 3-window coupes, convertible cabriolets, estate cars, ‘Tudor’ sedans and ‘Fordor’ sedans, which is the type on offer here.

  A Grand Monday: Morris Marina 1.3 11 Mar 2019 (News)
  Few cars have had more stick (or pianos) thrown at them than the poor old Morris Marina. Launched in 1970, the Marina was British Leyland’s answer to the Ford Cortina, and unlike BL’s other family saloons, it was as traditional as they come. Rear-wheel-drive, with a choice of either the aged A-series or nearly as antiquated B-series engines, the Marina was a straightforward car - so straight forward, in fact, that it shared many of its underpinnings with the Morris Minor, a car that could trace its roots back to 1948.

  Mk1 Golf GTI 1.6 sells for £27,225 at Race Retro auction 26 Feb 2019 (News)
  A left-hand drive 1964 Porsche 356C Road Rally with 25 years of competition history also sold significantly over estimate, with the hammer finally falling at £69,750 including premium. From the same era, a left-hand drive 1964 Ford Falcon Sprint FIA touring car prepared by Martin Stretton Racing reached a sale price of £61,875, selling to a buyer in the Netherlands. And a 1966 Ginetta G4 in ready to race condition crept past its guide price when purchased by a telephone bidder for £31,275.

  Bentley triumphs in Road to Saigon endurance rally 6 Mar 2018 (News)
  Rallying more than 8600kms (5300 miles) in 27 days, around 35 crews took on a series of challenging regularity and speed trials as they journeyed through Thailand, Cambodia, and Vietnam. The Classics division was won by Marco Halter and Claudia Engelhardt in the 1963 Ford Falcon, who had fought a close battle with runners up Gerry Crown and Matt Bryson, former Peking to Paris winners, in the 1974 Leyland P76. Third place was secured by David Gainer and Kerry Finn in the 1972 Datsun 240Z.

  VIDEO: Out of control Bentley Continental GT driver smashes pensioner's car off the road 15 Feb 2018 (News)
  The footage captured in late 2017 by 74 year old Tim Edwards' dash camera shows the 2005  Bentley Continental GT  hurtling through a village at an estimated 85mph, before losing control and colliding with Edward's Ford Kuga . The video shows Mr Edwards waiting in his car as he gives way to oncoming traffic, before continuing onto the clear road. However, within a few seconds, the Bentley speeds round the corner leaving Edwards little time to get out of the way.

  There’s a characterful, well-used 1931 Lagonda 2.0 litre Low Chassis Speed model saloon estimated at £25,000 - £30,000.  For Ford fans a freshly repainted 1922 Model T van, estimated at £9,000 to £11,000 and a pair of 1928 Model A Tudors, RHD and LHD, estimated at £10,500 to £14,000. Two triumph TRs, two Austin A35s, two Citroen 2CVs, an MGA, a V12 E-Type with a 5.7 litre V12 motor.

  Brian Johnson Reckons Croft Nostalgia Rocks 3 Aug 2014 (News)
  The Mini Coopers that set the pace on a wet Saturday duelled for the lead again in Sunday’s Historic Touring Cars race, before the Ford Lotus Cortinas and Warren Briggs’ menacing Mustang powered to the front of the field.  AC/DC’s Johnson made it two top ten finishes in as many races, hustling his Mini Cooper to eighth overall and class victory.

  Drive It Day 2014: Heritage Motor Centre pulls in the classics 27 Apr 2014 (News)
  We particularly loved seeing Morgans running in formation, a quartet of Triumph TRs being properly driven in the Oxfordshire lanes, a full-house Ford GT40 bellowing and barking in the Gaydon car park, and the star of the show for us, a 1980 Talbot Avenger estate - for sale on the day for the princely sum of £1600. If any event encapsulated the everyone-is-welcome ethos of the classic car scene, then it was this one.
