   So three years ago I was given an S-Max rental and three years later I am still driving the one I bought as soon as I got home. Christmas saw us in a Nissan Juke.  Very happy with the car, had a good crawl over and SWMBO announced that it was a suitable candidate to replace the five year old A-Class.  Came home and agreed a deal on a Juke Tekna CVT.

  Hi, Posting on behalf of my dad. He's just bought a 60 plate Nissan note from motorpoint in derby for £8500. It was advertised with 4500 miles on the clock. He collected it wednesday, and has noticed in the past few days that when he starts it up the mileage initially shows 16000 before resorting to 4500.

  Took it back to the garage and they couldnt see any faults. 6. Repeated steps 4 and 5 again. 7. Lost all patience and took it to the nissan main dealer.  They have no idea what the fault is! The only way to check the work done on the timing chain is to pay another £300 labour charge. What can I do?  I just feel like I've been milked and left with a un-useable car.

  Hi, I own a Nissan Primera '99 2.0 Sport which recently had an unusual major brake problem. As far as I understood - I had a problem where my brake fluid dropped without any warning. The whole system on one side of the vehicle was replaced and new brake pads were put on the back.

  Hi i bought this vehicle a week ago and luckily took out an extended warranty. it was fine until about the 3rd day when the orange engine malfunction light came on. i rang my aa warranty people and they told me nearest garage. took it there thurs, did the diagnostic and garage say its a problem with the air pipe-apparently it has a hole in it. they rang nissan and are waiting to hear back from them as to what part is needed before they can check with AA if repair is authorised. just wondered if this was an easy problem to fix? also will the fact the air pipe has a hole in it be affecting the fuel efficiency and also how the engine runs?

  My 30,000 mile 05 1.8 petrol Almera has always been serviced by a Nissan dealer using 0w-30 Elf or Total oil (French) I have noticed on some cold starts, especially if not used for a day - that the timing chain is making its presence heard for a few seconds and although the car is no-way due for a service I think I'll change the oil anyway - just to be on the 'safe side' So. the question is - what is the best oil to use for max protection on cold starts?

  Symptoms: For a month or so my 1995 Nissan Primera 2000cc (model P1) heater has been very slow to warm up even though the engine temperature reaches normal in the usual time. It's winter and so this was a pain but still the car got me the six miles to work and back so what the heck...

  With a business partner we run an unusual vehicle : AN LPG converted 1996 LWB Nissan Patrol . Top of the range 4.2 auto with leather, working A/C , selectable 4 wd. Now, this vehicle has been abused aesthetically : surface scratches , a missing wheel arch guard, driver's door lock doesn't open from outside , worn boot carpet, intermittent passenger electric window etc .

  Again this didn't bother me at the time, but all these things happening almost together has got me wondering if there is not something more serious going awry behind the scenes. Car is a 1.8 Nissan Primera Mk3 (QG18DE engine), 220,000 miles, with unknown service history from 80,000 to 190,000 miles.

  The Golf runs very well and is reliable summer and winter round - which is why we have never changed it. Neither my wife or I know anything about cars. Recently my wife and I (independently) saw a Nissan Cube in our area. We really like the look of this car and have discovered that there is a 7 seater version called the Cubic which, on the face of it, would suit us. Doing a search this afternoon, I find that this vehicle is only available secondhand - which is fine but they all seem terrifically expensive - £6000 - £7000 for anything up to 50,000 km.

  On one journey the fault occurred and an engine symbol was showing on dash with instruction "there may have been a malfuntion in the engine management system. Do not drive at high speed and contact Nissan Dealer a.s.a.p. Dealer then found bad earth and replaced. Fault still not rectified. After putting up with this situation for over 6 months the car is still not performing properly. The dealer is now saying that it could be a problem with the fuel pump.

  This appears to me quite a lot of problems for an nineteen month old UK sourced, UK specified vehicle. I am currently in correspondence with Nissan UK about the vehicle because I believe that these problems may continue outside the warranty period when it comes up. One question I have asked is the date of production and origin of the vehicle (I am concerned it may have been stuck in a muddy field over an extended period) Nissan have informed me that they are forbidden to disclose this because of the Data Protection Act.
