  Hi all,  My car has had an intermittent squeak from the passenger side front for a while, I had thought it would have been caught in the MOT/Service; but having had it back for a week now the squeak still occurs. It is intermittent, but seems to be linked to the brakes - no squeak when actually breaking, but when driving off afterwards, also tends to happen more at slower speeds.

  My 2008 220 E has suffered a front suspension coil spring failure after only 55k miles. The failure was not caused by an accident or pothole. In fact it occured whilst the car was parked on our driveway. This cannot be considered a normal failure, particularly at such low mileage.

  It goes through a sequence of flashes on start up and then stays on.   The mechanic who M.O.T'd my car passed it and told me I need the front airbag sensor replacing. I took mine off and have the serial number. I have found one that is off a mark 1 ST170, but it is exactly the same part number.

  Anyone out there know if it's possible to replace the end bushes on the front anti-roll bar without taking the whole thing off the car (as suggested by Mr Haynes!)? The bushes look as if they're 'driven' on to the bar at each end and, with 140,000 miles on the clock I would think they're not gonna come off without a fight!

  Do the rear bushes on the front subframe wear? My lower arms were replaced around 3 years ago but I have a small kick through the steering when pulling away rapidly. Car is 8 years old with 80,000 recorded miles I cannot find play with a large screwdriver but this seems to me to be the only place where movement could occur.

  Looks as though you could just jack up the car and then undo the ram and pull out these mounts once the spheres are off and pipes disconnected. Would be grateful for any advice.

  Anyone out there running a Nissan Terrano 2 built within the last couple of years? Do these cars still leave the factory with the front wheel geometry mis-set, needing re-alignment by the dealer to prevent horrendous and uneven front tyre wear? I ask because I have run both a 1993 Maverick and a 1999 Terrano with this problem.

  I was driving a hired van down a B-Road in the countryside third in a line of four vehicles at approximately 50mph. Suddenly and without warning the first car in the line braked heavily, causing an accordian effect in the traffic. The car directly in front of me and myself followed suit. While still under braking I was struck from behind by another car and which overpowered my ABS and sent me skidding into the back of the car in front.

  One of my neighbours was in the car with his girfriend when she turned right across the front of one of a pair of motorcyclists on an open country road. The motorcyclist lost control of his bike and slid into the front wing of neighbour's car and survived with a broken leg and severe bruising.

  So, I'm from Sweden and I'm not used to talking about my car in English, so sorry in advance, but I'll try explain my problem as good as possible. However, first I couldn't open my backdoors and left front door (just the right one), I could get the left front door open by putting key in and turning and meanwhile it's turned I could open it and the second problem was my tailgate opening for pretty much EVERYTHING.

  hello this is giving me a massive headache, any help would be great! between about 35 and 45 mph and only when accelerating the front end of the van shakes around (or wobbles). The harder i accelerate the harder it shakes. this comes not through the steering wheel but more the whole front of the van. after 45mph it goes away and if i roll at these speeds without driving the engine there is no problem.

  Hi, The 2 Front tyres on my 1992 Ford Escort are wearing unevenly. And not at the same rate either. The front offside (drivers side) has plenty of tread left that is visible, but the inside(nearest the engine) of the tyre is almost bald.
