  Popped down to the local ford dealer and picked up a new heater resistor and wiring block as mine had been heat damaged. Prior to fitting the new parts my wife did some driving in the car and complained that the heater on setting four was not blowing that hot just luke warm. I looked at it and it had cooled somewhat and also you can now turn the dial clockwise toward the feet setting but does not feed the air through.

  There were years where I could walk down the drive in a T shirt at -5c, get into the car and radiate my own heat - courtesy of being almost 15 stone. Much trimming off though, under 11 stone and a decade older - I`m like one of those lizards you see coming out of the sea and seeking a hot rock.

  Hi, I really need some help choosing my next car. Requirements: - Big enough for dog (small), baby, me, wife, luggage, pushchair, luggage - Very safe with the latest safety technology - Less than 3 years old - Quick - Comfortable and luxurious - Gadgets, eg xenon lights, sat nav (not essential), leather, memory/heated seats - Must have a young person's image, coz im only 27 and dont want something like a Skoda Budget: £30,000 What I'm currently considering (but open to more suggestions): - Audi S4 (B7) - not sure if this is big enough?

  My cmax coolant reaches 85c eventually on a run then drops back to 60 it will not reach proper operating temperature without alot of revs. If I turn off the heater in the car it will then work OK until I turn it back on. I have changed the thermostat and sender.  My obd gives me the same temperature readings. I have also purchased an infrared heat gun, which shows the sender and thermostat readings.

  What concerns me about the touchscreen stuff is that the warranty, depending on maker is 24 or 36 months. MG is 36 months, so I guess that I will be looking for a replacement car in about 8 months time.

  So, car runs fine, drives well, sudden cutting out of engine... Restarts no problem... Taken to garage and problem was 'resolved'... Turns out to a "temporary" fix... Silicon and heat are not good bed fellows!

  The car is 08 and owned by me from new so I know that it is the original screen. Anyone else come across this problem? Be a waste of time approaching renault now I suppose. I guess it will mean a new screen.

  She heard a noise in the engine, felt the pedal was a bit funny, ( loosing power i'd say) oil light came on, drove about another mile and finished her journey. Now start the car when its cold it runs fine no lights on, until it heats up a bit  and thins the oil of course, lights on and starts kocking and rattling. Is it worth putting a new oil pump in and seeing if it will sort it out long enough to sell it??
