Renault Clio Dynamic 1.5 Diesel 2008 - Engine Ticking Sound - FrCrilly

Hi All,

I have a strange ticking sound coming from the centre right of my engine. To watch and listen, please click the below

It's used to go away after the car heated up but now it is constant.

Does anyone know the potential issue and what is required to fix it?

Is it something that I could just keep driving with and get used to the sound?

Renault Clio Dynamic 1.5 Diesel 2008, Approx 160,000 miles.

Sounds like an injector is chuffing. Copper sealing washer at the base of the injector has failed . I’d also check the injector clamp down bracket to make sure it’s not loose. I wouldn’t ignore it. Needs fixing
