Powered by petrol it is capable of producing a huge 2300 watts of electricity immediately. That’s enough to run a fridge and freezer or provide heat and light. It has the power to keep businesses open. Machinery, computers or power tools can be operating seconds following a power cut. The 230 volt Medusa generator will run for up to 10 hours on just 12 litres of petrol. -

The new Castle Hill Car Festival promises to be a spectacular family-friendly event that brings hundreds of classic cars together in beautiful surroundings near Barnstaple in Devon. The festival takes place on 3-4 August, and as well as static displays, there will be runs up the castle ground's 0.8-mile sprint run. The event will be staged in the parkland grounds of the Castle Hill Estate, home to the Earl and Countess of Arran, which is located near South Molton, just 35 mins from J27 of the M5 and w ill feature a display of up to 1000 classic and historic vehicles brought together by clubs and private owners from throughout the country, and will include a special showcase display of over 40 historic Aston Martins to help celebrate their centenary year. -

Ten vehicles from the early days of motoring will be offered at Bonhams’ London to Brighton Run Sale on 3 November at its New Bond Street salesroom. The highlight of the European collection is the rare 1898 Germain 6hp Twin-Cylinder Open Drive Limousine (£150,000-220,000), which is thought to be the prototype car for the Belgian company.
