An eleven month old 11,000 mile 2000W Vectra 2.0iLS automatic bid to a fair £8,025, which has been the standard price level for these cars at this age for years. While a much higher spec eleven month old 13,000 mile Vectra 2.0 CD automatic sold for £8,750, confirming the price bracket. But no chance of a cheap Zafira as yet. A nine month old 14,000 mile 2000W Zafira 1.8 Comfort automatic bid all the way to a high £11,200. -

Classic Fords set to raise money for children’s charity 19 Aug 2016 (News)
The event, which is now in its seventh year, sees 100 Fords take on the 100-mile route. Cars already booked in include Escorts, Cortinas, Capris and even a Mustang. It’s all in aid of Hope House Children’s Hospice, near Oswestry. To date, the club has raised £31,000 for the charity. -

BMW M5 collection up for sale 1 Jun 2015 (News)
A collection of seven BMW M5s will go under the hammer later this month. The M5s from almost every era are for sale at Classic Car Auctions’ 6 June sale at the Warwickshire Exhibition Centre. The collection ranges from the earliest model in the series, the E28, to the 25th anniversary edition. The current vendor started the collection around four years ago, purchasing classics that he could enjoy and use on a daily basis, as well as could provide great potential for future investment. -

Aston Martin DB MkIII could make £300,000 at auction 25 Sep 2014 (News)
A 1958 Aston Martin DB MkIII saloon could make £300,000 when it goes under the hammer next month. The car, which is for sale at H&H’s October sale on 8 October, has been completely restored and prepared for club racing. Last year it was campaigned in the Fordwater Trophy at the Goodwood Revival meeting and achieved a class win in the Aston Martin Owners’ Club autumn concours event at Broughton Castle. -
Kia recalls Sportage and Soul models 9 May 2014 (News)
The issue is due to a faulty piston in the mechanism and was discovered as part of Kia's continuous monitoring of customer cars. Kia will contact all affected owners in the UK and advise them to take their Sportage or Soul to their nearest dealer for a system check. Any faulty pre-tensioners will be replaced free of charge within one to two hours. -

Sustainable MotoExpo cancelled 19 Sep 2013 (News)
. The news to cancel the event also means the launch of the Bluebird DC50 sports car (pictured) will not take place. The 365PS electric coupe was unveiled in March to commemorate the 50 th anniversary of Donald Campbell’s land and water speed records, but it’s believed this launch has been cancelled. -
Ford builds two million Ecoboost engines 19 Sep 2013 (News)
Earlier in 2013, Ford announced that the 2.0-litre EcoBoost would be built in Cleveland, Ohio starting in 2014 and, more recently, Ford said that it will be doubling production of the 1.0-litre EcoBoost in Germany, as the number of cars it's fitted to increases. The turbo-three will also be produced in China at a new Ford engine plant in Chongqing. -

The 1.2-litre engine averages a claimed 51.4 mpg with CO2 of 128g/km. Buyers who purchase a car through Skoda Finance (7.9 per cent APR representative) will also get free servicing for up to three years and 30,000 miles. -

Citroen reveals DS3 Cabrio Racing at Goodwood 11 Jul 2013 (News)
Power comes from a 1.6-litre turbocharged petrol engine producing 204PS and thanks to the relatively small increase in weght over a hard-top DS3 performance should be similar, meaning 0-2mph in about 6.5 seconds. There is no word on whether the car will go into production but if it does you can expect it to cost around £24,000. Given the popularity of the DS3 it wouldn't be a huge surprise if the DS3 Cabrio Racing did enter production. -
Report: Jaguars on the Barbican 7 Jun 2013 (News)
New Jaguars were represented by Plymouth’s recently established dealership, and classics were supported by their enthusiastic owners. Car of the Day, a magnificent Mk2 3.4-litre in Carmen Red, owned by Mike Nicholls from Weymouth, it was chosen by Sarah O’Leary from the Plymouth Waterfront Partnership. Halfords to host driving tests 9 Jan 2013 (News)
From February it will be possible for learner drivers to take their tests from selected Halfords branches, the DSA has announced. Tests will still be conducted by DSA examiners, but will start and finish in the car parks of Halfords branches. Previously it was only possible take a driving test at a DSA site, but the changes mean learners will have more choice and potentially access to a more local test centre.
