• mazda 5 2008 sport d - suspension problem within 3 months of purchase 12 Jan 2014 (Forum)
  I bought  a mazda 5 sport from evan halshaw on the 18/11/2013. Just started to notice rear suspension really soft making the car bounce over every bump. I'm going to phone the garage on Monday but first I what as much info as possible about what they should do for me.

  My accelerator pedal in my Mazda 6 is sticking - I have to press hard and then it 'snaps' to normal behaviour, which means I've essentially lost my fine throttle control.  It's worse in colder weather, which somehow doesn't surprise me.

  I have an 02 plate mazda 6, with a 4 speed autobox. I last checked the ATF dipstick approx 4 months ago (used to check every fortnight but it always stayed the same). and the level was around 1cm higher on the dipstick than it is now; I was curious to see if I had a leak so every day for the last week, before leaving for work - as soon as I've started the engine i've popped the hood and measured the ATF fluid level (parked in the same spot every time) and its always at the exact same place.

  Hi there, I have an 02 plate mazda 6.  Over the last 5k miles or so the car has been feeling sluggish to me - not as 'peppy' as it used to.  The MPG is slightly down too but this is most likely due to the weather. It had it's last 'full' service 8k miles ago and an oil change 1k miles ago.

  I have a new Mazda 2 1.3 petrol coming next week.  I have looked at the running in for a petrol engine and keeping the standard oil until the first oil change. But was wondering if I could put in a straight mineral oil for say 4000 miles and build the revs with higher revs at times without loading the engine and then change to a full synth 5W-30.

  Hello. My 2WD Mazda Bongo has a rear axle whine even tho' it's only covered 67k miles. The diff oil level was down by around a pint, and the remaining oil was very black. The whine is annoying but not the end of the world!

  There seems to be a tiny leak right in the middle of the back axle of our family car, a Mazda Tribute 2003, 40,000 mls (is this part called the diff? -not sure of the precise terms), only 2 or 3 drops (in fact bucket only collected one drop in about 5 hours( but small patch on drive (caused by probably no more than 5 drops), my questions are: 1) Is it likely to be serious?

  So far (touch wood) nothing has gone wrong with the Mazda, except for flaky paint on all four alloys which they replaced without murmur. What do people think?

  I am having a problem with my Mazda 323 Diesel its making a strange metallic knocking noise when accelerating, when the engine is hot. Noise occurs from 1500rpm on I had a problem last week which only occurred once, accelerated hard big puff of black smoke and after 500 yds white/grey smoke everywhere like an engine blow up!

  potted history vehicle has an intermitant problem which sometimes causes it to stall at low revs main agent diagnosed problem with pcm power train control module (cost of part £2500 ) vehicle out of warrenty due to milage 70k Mazda kindly agreed to bear the whole cost of this part. new part fitted vehicle the same as i suspected now come on anyone got an idea!! Symtoms car drives fine then occassionly starts staling everytime you slow down or dip clutch it also loses power when it does this then after a few minutes it corrects itself and then may run fine till the next time which could be another 500 miles Help
