A smart looking black 35k mile 99V Ford Cougar 2.5V6 went for £4,025. An 84k mile unwarranted 98S Freelander 2.0XDI 5-door sold for £3,650. A 42k mile 2000X Alfa 156 1.8TS Lusso made £3,350.

  The Department for Transport (DfT) has said it would like to see the use of in-car Radar Detectors (speed camera spotters) banned in the UK. Scott Marshbank, from Department for Transport has said they are working with the Police to find ways to make speed camera spotters illegal.

  Someone lost their marbles and paid £13,000 for a 20k mile 2001/51 Nissan Terrano II; the same car for sale brand new at the supersites for less than £15,000. £10,750 was plainly crackers for a 35k mile 2000X Golf TDI PD 115. And £13,050 close to lunacy for a 20k mile 03 reg Golf TDI PD 130 (£13,999 new at the supersites).

  Power is fed through a 6-speed Tremac T56 manual gearbox to a BTR Hydratrack limited slip diff and, at the time, AC claimed that the 212 S/C was the world’s fastest accelerating production car (0-60 in 4 seconds). A dealer is asking £160,000 for a 1999 Superblower and ‘TAZ 212’ is one of only two RHD examples of the 212 S/C in the world so the auction estimate of £80,000 to £100,000 may well be an underestimate.

  Hyundai extends scrappage scheme to the end of March 3 Jan 2018 (News)
  Hyundai has extended its scrappage scheme, allowing buyers to get up to £5000 off a new model until March 31. The scheme allows Euro 1-4 emissions standard vehicles (cars that were registered before 31 December 2009), of any make or model, to be scrapped or traded in for a brand-new Hyundai. Customer can save £3500 on the Ioniq Plug-in Hybrid, using the £2000 Hyundai scrappage offer combined with the government-funded £1500 Plug-In Car Grant.
