Admittedly, K10s had their grot spots, but they were no worse than any of their contemporaries, while mechanical dependability and a slightly older than average buyer demographic meant many outlasted their peers.  This one’s a good example  of that - owned by just one person from new, It has covered just 77,000 miles and has all the hallmarks of elderly ownership, including the corners knocked off the bumpers and a worn syncromesh going into third gear.

The classic event has been running for 36 years and this year saw more than 450 historic automobiles from 73 different manufacturers take part in the legendary endurance road race. Fiat had the most entries with 49 cars, followed by Jaguar (35), Mercedes-Benz (33). This year’s Mille Miglia was held in four stages, starting and ending in Brescia with the turning point in Rome.

  Hyundai offers £5000 off a new car with scrappage scheme 29 Aug 2017 (News)
  The most polluting vehicles, those with Euro 1-3 emissions standard, will be scrapped - while owners of a Euro 4 model can trade-in their vehicle for any model across the Hyundai range.   ‘Lost’ Pininfarina-bodied Jaguar XK to be unveiled at Pebble Beach concours 9 Aug 2017 (News)
  Peter Neumark, chairman of the Employee Ownership Trust that runs CMC, said, ‘I will have the privilege of taking the cover off the car at the world famous Concours d’Elegance in California and I think that car collectors and aficionados from around the world are going to be astounded by what they see.’ David Barzilay, chairman of CMC’s operating board, said, ‘Perhaps Hoffman inspired Pininfarina to style and produce such a rare XK?

  BMW 'scrappage scheme' to offer £2000 for older diesels 7 Aug 2017 (News)
  The replacement must be a  BMW i3 , a plug-in hybrid or a Euro 6 vehicle with CO2 emissions of up to 130g/km. The scheme will initially run until 31 December 2017. It is set to be launched in August as part of BMW's recently announced 'EU-wide fleet-renewal campaign' - whatever that means. Continuing with their theme of confusing terminology, BMW is calling the discount an 'environmental bonus' of up to £2000 when you trade-in your old banger for a new BMW or MINI.

  XKs raise £50,000 for charity 7 Jul 2017 (News)
  The Jaguar XK Club round Britain costal tour saw more than 100 cars take part in an 18-day 4000-mile trip to raise money for Prostate Cancer UK. The event was run for the first time last September by the Jaguar E-type Club, the event raised £64,000. Those funds helped a man, who was given just months to live, have experimental new treatment and who is now recovering from the disease.

  Ex-press Lotus Esprit Turbo heads to auction 31 May 2016 (News)
  .’ The ‘High Wing’ was the only model produced by Lotus in 1992 after the final run of the Elan. It sported the Esprit’s most radical wing to date, along with a revised front bib increasing the top speed to 165mph. Only 64 examples were produced making it a model rarely seen on the market today.
