  I have a '98 Primera se, 86,000 miles. Recently I have noticed that the blowers are a little noisy and not getting as much air into the cabin. Any ideas why and how can I fix it. Also the central fresh air vent is not heating up the air??? bit of a pain. I have had the car for four years and have not had the air-con serviced.

    I had the condenser replaced around 3 or 4 years ago after a stone punctured the old one and when that happened, although the AC light remained illuminated, nothing kicked on I.e. condesor didn't kick in when you turned the AC button on and off. I was told this was because the air con gas was too low due to the leak in the condenser and a safety feature to avoid damage to the AC parts.   Does anyone have any advice? I'm hoping the air con gas is on the limit of being too low just through natural loss and just needs a recharge but feeling this might be too simple!

  All was flying with it but with the weather a bit warmer i was setting the climate contol to the "LO" setting to cool the car. However the air was not air con cold. it was more cold ish really. i use the air con regulary even when heating up the car and window demisting and to be honest i never really noticed much of a difference between it being on or off. i dont really use the auto function at all, just the manual cool for air into my face.

  Hi all My cooling fan been running now and then during the colder weather recently, usually when the air-con is on.Is this to keep the air-con 'bits' cool with it running so much ? The temp gauge sits plum in  the middle as it's always done. No loss of coolant - car runs great - mpg OK - compressor kicks in and out as it should (is that right?)

  It's not the heater, as if i leave it on i can feel that there is heat seeping out of the vents (but only passively) and I've tried different vents, power settings, temperatures and with/without air-con. Searching a few forums suggested a similar problem on RenaultSport Clios might be down to a blocked fan in the overhead console, but I'm told there isn't one on a standard clio. A renault mechanic told me there's a history of rheostat failure on clios, and I've also read that a resistor might be to blame (although that might be the same as the rheostat?).
