    Diesel is now cheaper than petrol, which hasn’t been the case since 2001. RAC fuel spokesman Simon Williams said: “July was a month of good news for motorists with diesel vehicles. The 5p a litre diesel saving recorded in July means the cost of filling up an average 55-litre diesel family car, such as a Ford Focus, has dropped by £3 in a month.” Williams attributes the cheaper diesel prices at lower wholesale costs, thanks to two new oil refineries in Saudi Arabia.

The New MINI is set for launch in the UK in Spring 2014, but production has already started in Cowley.

This follows last week’s cut on Diesel to 137.7ppl. Diesel fuel remains the same following last week’s 2 ppl litre price cut with Asda’s national price cap at 137.7 pence per litre which is 4 ppl cheaper than the national average diesel price. Morrisons has  314 petrol stations across the UK.  Mark Todd, Petrol Director for Morrisons, said: “A drop in wholesale prices combined with an improved exchange rate has provided us with an opportunity to pass a saving on to customers and continue to offer some of the lowest prices on the market.” How economical is your car?

    The i8 will use a three-cylinder twin-turbo petrol engine that's combined with an electric drive system to produce  349hp/300Nm.  Its 0-62mph time is said to be under five seconds, combined with the fuel consumption of under approximately 78mpg.
