    Sainsbury’s has announced a price cut of up to 5p-per-litre on both petrol and diesel across all of its 294 forecourts, starting 30 September.   • Motorists hit by fourth month of fuel price rises 5 Jul 2016 (News)
    Motorists are paying almost £6 more for a tank of fuel than they were in March, according to a new study from the RAC.  RAC Fuel Watch shows that unleaded has increased by 10p-per-litre from 101.9p at the start of March to 112.1p at the end of June, while diesel has jumped by 11p over the same period, from 101.5p to 112.3p.  "June was another bad month for motorists with the price of petrol going up again," said RAC fuel spokesman Simon Williams.

    The AA has accused fuel retailers of “plundering” motorists by pushing up fuel costs at the pumps at a time when oil prices dropped. Late last week it emerged that the average UK petrol price had risen from 111.9 pence-per-litre in March to 113.3p in April, while diesel had risen by around 0.6 pence-per-litre during the same period, to 118.8p.
