  • Why does my Peugeot 406 suffer an anti-pollution fault when towing in fourth gear? 18 Aug 2010 (Ask HJ)

  • Citroen C3 - Engine replacement 8 Apr 2010 (Forum)
Loads of bits including rear mount, manifolds and other stuff were completely different to the existring engine 2.  More worryingly the engine had a Peugeot badge on it. The block was the same but all the anicllaries were out.  When I contacted the supplier he told me that all engines in Citroens have a Peugeot badge.  My current one doesn't and so my question is it it true that Citroen engines have a Peugeot badge?
  • Peugeot 106 (1991 - 2002) - 96 1.5 Front suspension, wheel bearing & CV joint 3 Dec 2009 (Forum)
I then found the bush on the wishbone for holding the anti roll bar down was perished, so hopefully replaced that(only available a peugeot main dealer) £12. That did'nt sort it so am am about to go to the scrap yard to get the exact same suspension strut, wheel bearing and drive shaft. I say exact because by the sound of it there is every possible combination of different types sizes of bearing, spline etc possible on my 106 XD.

Hi Am new to the forum and car buying in general so sorry for any silly questions! My partner is about to buy a 55 plate Peugeot 206 and on the HPI check a mileage discrepancy came up: 06 Sep 2006 BVRLA 10,268 18 Sep 2006 BVRLA 30,804 22 Sep 2006 NMR 10,000 22 Sep 2006 NMR 10,270 The car now has 24,000 miles, it was a lease car for the first 6 months (hence the high milage between Feb and Sep 2006) and then privately owned til part exed in July this year.
  • Peugeot 607 (2000 - ) - 01 2.2 Parking Sensors Malfunction suddenly 2 Sep 2008 (Forum)
I drove from there to my house, again reversed in to my driveway and they weren't working. They haven't worked since. I do have a Peugeot fixed tow bar and electrics fitted. And I do tow a caravan. And the sensors have intermittently stopped working after I unplugged the caravans electrics. but when I turned the car off and on again they worked.
  • Peugeot 306 (1993 - 2001) - 00 2.0Cabriolet electrical woes, Help 25 Jul 2008 (Forum)
Hi all, First post so go easy. I have a Peugeot 306 cabriolet which seems to have some sort of electrical gremlin. The speedo and rev counter have started to flicker (Needles jitter a couple of mm and you can hear the servos cycling) when the ignition is first switched on and they do the same when you turn off.

  • Peugeot 307 CC (2003 - 2008) - 2007 2.0 petrol - excessive engine noise? 26 Jun 2008 (Forum)
I have just bought a Peugeot 307 CC which is on an 07 plate its a 2.0 and the smaller engine I think the 140bhp one. However I'm a little worried that the engine noise is quite apparent. I took it back to the dealership who explained about the tick over is normal and i've been told its sounds okay.
  • Water in air intake Peugeot 306 HDI 26 Jun 2007 (Forum)
Presently as of June 26 on my way to work I went through a lake on the road, although after just getting through the Lake the car petered out. The diagnostic indicator is showing on the dash and the Peugeot 306 HDI has gone into limp mode. Anyway the engine started again straight away but it continued to misfire for about 30 seconds until it ran ok still though with the diagnostic K indicator showing on the dashboard (actually the 'K' is really a symbol for a transistor) .

  • Peugeot specialist? 14 Jun 2005 (Forum)
I went into my Pug dealer to ask how much they wanted, and after 5 mins of faffing around in the workshop, I got an answer - "thats a very complicated proceedure sir, even the technicians are scared to touch them" and he then priced himself out of a job by quoting 4 hours @ £69 ph! Yeah righto. Anyway, I've searched the web with little success, what I am after is a peugeot specialist in Kent who will be able to do this job for me. Does anyone have any reccomendations? or do you happen to have the 'Pug special tool' for sale??? Cheers Jon
  • Peugeot 406 Coupe Water Leak!! 13 Feb 2003 (Forum)
Water appears to be coming out of a small drain hole in a unit (I think a fan housing)up behind the glovebox During the 15 days I've owned the car it has spent five days in with the Peugeot Dealer trying to sort the fault. When it came out they had replaced the door seal. I drove the car for about an hourand the same problem existed. I have tried (unsuccessfully) to fix the problem myself.
  • Peugeot 306 keypad immobiliser 7 Apr 2002 (Forum)
Hi, I recently purchased a second-hand Peugeot 306 with a keypad immobiliser (96N 1.6 XS). The owner's manual describes a procedure for delaying the immobilisation for an hour and shows a "D/N" key. That's all very well, but on my keypad this key is labelled "S" and the procedure in the manual doesn't work!
