  ECU Testing Ltd has finally finished the development for a full rebuild for the common Pressure sensor fault for the VW Golf, Touran, Audi A3, Seat Leon, Toledo, Altea & Skoda Octavia. They completely rebuild the pressure sensors, ABS modulator block and ABS ECU as a whole unit. This is not a bodge around the problem it is a complete rework of the original design and we have managed to completely remove the design flaw so that once rebuilt the fault can never return.

  Martin Keighley is the firm's valuations expert and warned potential soft-top drivers that there is a slight oversupply in the market of this type of motor, so residuals have fallen and therefore it is sensible to pick one with the best chance of hanging on to its original list price. These could include the Audi TT Roadster and the Audi A3 Convertible, which were found by HPI to be the top two in terms of residual value. But Mr Keighley added: "Without a doubt, the best all-rounder remains the Mini Convertible.

    Some of the late Audis obviously received what’s known as ‘support’ from Audi dealers, wanting to keep price levels healthy. But RS4s seem to have dipped a bit.   If I’d have been buying I think I might have waved my catalogue for the 22k mile 2006/56 Mercedes SL500 388PS 7-speed (the best SL they ever made), that sold about £4,000 under trade book.
