    The Ford Model T covered 14,000 miles in 180 days during the first leg of the drive in 2012, which took them from their home town of Edam, to Cape Town in South Africa. In 2013 the couple drove through the USA and Canada, crossing 22 States during their 17,000-mile, 180-day road trip.

    Vintage Adventurer Rod Wade is preparing to drive across Australia – and back again – in less than 100 hours in his 1930 Ford Model A in another fundraising challenge. This is not motoring enthusiast Rod’s first driving challenge as he set a world record in November 2013  for driving 4734km from Staten Island, New York, to Venice Beach, California, in just over 50 hours.  The Ocean to Ocean Australia Challenge will see Queenslanders Rod, aged 71 and co-driver Austen Ritchie, aged 37, depart Surfers Paradise, Gold Coast, on 3 June, armed with a bottle filled with water from the South Pacific Ocean, in a 1930 Ford Model A, driving around 3000 miles non-stop to Fremantle, Western Australia.

    Peugeot has recently identified a fault that in very rare circumstances could affect the braking system on right hand drive 206 models built before February 2002. For safety reasons, Peugeot has decided to launch a recall campaign of 206 right hand drive models built before that date. Owners of all affected vehicles are being notified by letter, and invited to make an appointment at any authorised Peugeot service dealer where their vehicle will undergo a simple rectification procedure that involves replacing a clevis pin on the brake pedal.
