  • 206 side airbag question 25 Feb 2007 (Forum)
Ive already checked the SRS wiring loom on my car & its there up until the middle of each sill, So in theory if I fitted the XSI seats & got the 2 short pieces of loom to connect to my cars original loom that would connect them up, I also need the BSI configuration set up adjusted but I would also need to change the airbag control unit under the front ashtray, now there's a few for sale on a certain auction website, ive asked the sellers if they are suitable for front & side airbags but they dont have a clue, is there anyway of telling by the identification numbers on the units if they are suitable for what im after? The Peugeot parts cd rom isnt much help either as the Peugeot part number isnt on the unit. Thanks in advance Lee

  • Pranged the Jag 20 Nov 2006 (Forum)
Most importantly, though, no-one was hurt. The accident happened when the Escort that hit me was nudged into my side by a Peugeot that didn't stop. The blame lies with the Peugeot driver, but they are gone and probably untraceable. In light of this, does this now get settled knock-for-knock? As far as I can see there are two ways ov viewing this: 1.
  • Old large diesel estate 11 Oct 2006 (Forum)
What I want is a large and by large I mean Volvo sized, estate which is also fairly economical ( hence the diesel idea ) which will also be durable and reliable as far as you can with old cars. My shortlist is Vauxhall Carlton 2.3D, Audi 100 Avant, Volvo 740 TD, Peugeot 505 2.5D and the Ford Granada 2.5D. Im not keen on turbo cars really as at the age Im looking at, its likely to be knackered, so id prefer one of the non-turbo options as a preference. My budget is about a grand or so.

  • Cheap diesel needed 28 Feb 2003 (Forum)
This seems very cheap and appears to fit the bill exactly- why are they so cheap though? Don't they have Peugeot engines? Has anyone got one of these, if so what are they like, is the TD much better? Alternatively can anyone suggest anything else. Thanks 9000
  • Peugeot 2008 1.2 puretech 130 EAT6 Allure Premium - five year report 19 Oct 2024 (Forum)
Despite the minor niggles of a radio that won’t stay on for long unless the engine is restarted and a pathetic peep of a horn,  Mrs F and I continue to be well pleased.  It is not yet old enough to tell whether Peugeot’s purported superior mechanical and bodily longevity still pertains but we hope that it will see us out.  It cost  exactly £17k ‘on the road’ so eventually it should conform to our practice of having nice cars which cost only a few hundred rather than thousands of pounds a year to own.
  • Peugeot 206 hatchback (1998 - 2006) - 06 1.6HDI FAP DPF Removal Experiment 16 May 2010 (Forum)
I have a Peugeot 206 with a 1.6HDI FAP engine, manufactured in 2006, with 68000 miles on the clock. I am aware of the well documented problems that the diesel particulate filter may cause as the car gets older. Filter blocking up, EOLYS fluid needs replacing, forced regeneration / replacement filter etc etc.
  • Problem getting a resonable price newish van MPV 6 Jan 2010 (Forum)
Even wit the ford family discount i am entitled to, the cheapest pre reg tourneo I can pick up is £15,000, an increadible price (list price is £18k plus!). The dealership staff themseves have commented how expensive this vehicle is. I have visited 2 peugeot dealerships. Neither was interested in doing anything other than £500 quid off list price. I dont understand why I should pay a higher price for a peugeot badge over a citreon badge when the partner and berlingo are near identical.
  • Indestructable Peugeot 309 22 Sep 2006 (Forum)
But I don't pussyfoot around, so the car sits at 75 to 80 mph all day (where conditions allow) I firmly believe that the 309 was one of the best designs (originally it was to be badged a Talbot when it first came out) that Peugeot came up with, and having owned a 306 TD (never again) the 309 was a much better product. Anyone else out there had good ownership experience with the 309? Andrew
