• Mazda Engine Warning Light- MOT Failure? 8 Nov 2006 (Forum)
  SWMBO 2001 Mazda 1.6l, 323F. Engine warning light is now permanently illuminated- car still runs fine and no apparent problems. Is this an MOT failure or will it depend on the emissions readouts? -- I wasna fu but just had plenty.

  Hi people. Can anybody help. I want to change the thermostat on my Mazda but have not got a manual yet and can't easily see where the thermostat is. Does anybody know whereabouts I can find it please? Many thanks. 2ndhand_some.

  I am looking to order one as a company car but want to wait until it is euro 4. Anyone got any suggestions for similar models which compare well against the mazda. I like the vectra but it is a bit ugly!!

  I'm looking at buying a cheap second-hand car and a 06 Mazda 3 1.6 has caught my eye for around £1500. I'm looking for something reliable that I can basically run into ground over the next few years. There appears to be a lot of a rust / corrosion between the rear wheels of this one, which to my untrained eye looks bad, but I'm not certain.

  Need some info after reading myself to worry on here . My mazda 6is 85000 miles and bought a year ago after finishing its fleet life . Full service history and new mot last week Monday past had travelled 40 miles and was returning home when I was aware illuminated  dpf flashing and whirring noise from under the bonnet.

  Hi all Was wondering if anyone could help me identify a problem with my Mazda 6?  It's a 2004 plate, diesel 2 litre engine. For the past few days when I turn the ignition key, all the dash lights come on as normal but then it briefly makes what I can only describe as a 'choking' noise and sounds as though it's not going to start, but it does.

  Hi I have poor fuel economy and performance with my Mazda MX5. It is a 2001 Mk2. It is too old to have OBDII DLC connector sadly. However, it an underbonnet Diagnostics socket. Using an LED, I have uncovered the following fault codes: 11, 13, 14, and 15.

  One garage I called today laughed at me about changing to a Fiesta and said it's exactly the same as my Mazda. This has worried me. How come it can drive so differently if it is exactly the same????  I personally felt that the gears on the Fiesta were much smoother than the Mazda, the steering more precise and the suspension much softer.

  Hi guys, morning. I have been with my solicitor dealing with my mazda 6 engine over-run now for 11 months, the first solicitor in the firm messed me aroud so the firm got rid of him, the second solicitor in the firm has been ok but very very slow.... I just wanted to find out what time scale should she give Mazda to reply back to her questions?

  I found that other owners have the same problem , it's exactly the same sound on Youtube http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JHozPS4dGYk Mazda service first replaced clutch(sound was less intensive for a while ), than turbo charger. I'm out of warranty now, and sound is still there . I hope that someone can help. Thank You.. Sorry for bad english.

  Hi I bought a Mazda 3 recently and have only had it for one month. Its a 2 litre Sport and so does go thruugh a lot of fuel, but i noticed that the petrol gage wasnt going up when i put petrol in and it was using it far more quickly that it usually would.

  I have recently acquired a 2005 Mazda 6 2.0 TS Diesel (hatchback). Over the past week or so a rather worrying noise has surfaced when starting the engine from cold (i.e overnight). The location of the noise is around the drivers side under the bonnet.

  The problem I am having is when I am driving the engine suddenly loses power briefly and then it picks up just as quickly again. My very helpful local Mazda dealer diagnosed defective 'boost valve'. However, despite fitting a new boost valve, the problem persists and the engine still loses power briefly and once the clutch is dipped and the engine revved it is back to normal.

  A friend is on the verge of buying a Mazda CX7, in fact I think he has to make a decision this week. He has been offered a pre reg 58 plate for around 16K. Knowing that I have an interest in cars, he has asked my opinion. However, I am not really sure what to tell him.

  Just taken delivery of my new Mazda 6 and I am generally delighted with it apart from two niggles. 1. The controls for the mirrors are not illuminated. I hope someone on the forum can you check whether this is a feature, or is it something wrong with my car. 2.

  I need some advice from the forum. I am planning on changing my car in the next few months (04 plate Mazda 6). Approaching 60k mark, current valuation according to Parkers is thus about 4- 4.5k for trade in. But just the other week i foolishly scraped my passenger side wheel arch....arghghh. Question is when it comes to the trade-in is it best to bite the bullet and get it fixed myself before hand (been quoted about £300) or do I not bother and just hold my hands up when it comes to it "yeah its got a scrape in it" and just let them knock it down accordingly?

  The roads in my area are pretty bad and I don?t need regular visits to the dentist to replace fillings. Then I saw the new Mazda 2 and fell for the looks of this as I did for the Punto. However, it seems that the most ?powerful? variant is a Sport version again (1.5 Sport). Does anyone know if this has sports suspension as well?

  Sorry! Ignore MX6 entry!! Can anyone tell me why my Mazda 6 04 TS2 136 cuts out when coming to stop and/or changing down at slow speeds or cornering. It's intermiitent -- nothing for a few days then three or four times in ten minutes! Dealership plugged it in to electronic diagnostic kit --showed all clean.

    A few things jumped out, first of these were the fact that from 1987 through into the 90's, Mazda were the official importers of Citroen cars into Japan, starting with the BX. They also, for a short time (no dates given), sold Lancia cars. Both of these were done through Mazda's own portfolio of 'brands', Citroen being sold through Eunos dealers, and Lancia by Autozam.
• Mazda 6 sport 60 plate - how long injector leak before engine stops 10 Jan 2014 (Forum)
  Anyone with experience of this problem and how they got it sorted by Mazda would be much appreciated.  I did read one post on here from about 12 months ago where they managed to get Mazda to pay 85% of engine cost. Also when the engine is fixed how to prevent it happening again if it is possible?
