Hi all

Was wondering if anyone could help me identify a problem with my Mazda 6? It's a 2004 plate, diesel 2 litre engine.

For the past few days when I turn the ignition key, all the dash lights come on as normal but then it briefly makes what I can only describe as a 'choking' noise and sounds as though it's not going to start, but it does. Problem is, the length of time between the 'choking' noise and it not starting is getting longer by the day and I'm worried that today or tomorrow it just won't start at all.

I don't have much money at the moment, so wondered if anybody had any idea what's causing this and approximate cost of fixing?
