Hello there,
This is my first post , I hope I've done everything right.
I have strange sound coming from engine (transmission) when releasing clutch, and now it's even louder when I release throttle when climbing(in gear) in lower rpm (-2000).
I found that other owners have the same problem , it's exactly the same sound on Youtube
www.youtube.com/watch?v=JHozPS4dGYk
Mazda service first replaced clutch(sound was less intensive for a while ), than turbo charger. I'm out of warranty now, and sound is still there .
I hope that someone can help.
Thank You..
Sorry for bad english.

The noise increases with speed id say it's a bearing noise like the idler pulley for the aux belt or timing belt tensioner etc.

hi what sort of noise whistle or grinding or banging (diesel knock)? Turbo reasonably common on 1.6 might be worth taking off the engine cover and checking the injector are as they can leak exhaust gasses from the base (you will see a black carbon deposit arround the injector if the seals leaking)
hope this helps

Like I said , Turbocharger is new, replaced month ago in auth. Mazda service.
The sound can be heard at link above on youtube. Pay attention on sound when rpm are dropping.
I'm afraid that it's something in transmission. When clutch kit was installed (60 000km, now 100 000), the sound was barely noticeable. In time it got worse.
Clutch kit and turbocharger are replaced because of that sound.
Thank You
