• DSG gearbox – jerky gear changes 3 Sep 2010 (Forum)
  Had a drive in a Peugeot 3008 1.6 diesel fitted with a DSG box. Basically it is a semi-automatic. Have noticed the gear changes are a bit jerky. Is this normal? This is the first car i have driven with DSG gearbox. I expected smooth changes as per fully automatic gearbox.

  Our local Peugeot dealer has erected a row of flag poles on its used car lot. Each flag shows a list of the other makes they also sell used. Trouble is they have printed 'Volkswagon' on every flag. With this attention to detail what are their PDI's like?

  i have 2002 peugeot hdi turbo deisel and when i start it up DIESEL ADDITIVE MINIMUM LEVEL appears on the screen of the onboard computer. can any 1 tell me what it is ? how urgent it is ? can i get it done any where else other than a dealership as they want £225 to do it

  1993 Peugeot 306 - When turning right, sharply, (roundabouts usually) there is a noise coming from the nearside wheel area, sounds like the wheel arch. It\'s a kind of tapping/banging noise as I\'m turning. Any ideas what the problem could be?

  I have a 1994 Peugeot 405 1.6i , now all of a sudden the heater blower will not work . When I started the car this morning it was working fine , went into do a bit of shopping , jumped back in the car and its not blowing at all .

  Help - more information on normal functioning of climate control in Fiat Ulysee (identical system to Peugeot 806). Should the climate control switch itself on to automatic every time the engine is started (regardless of whether or not the climate control unit was previously switched off)?

  I have a Peugeot 406 with a knackered cat and I have been thinking about puting a cat bypass instead of replacing the cat. The car runs on LPG so has lower emmissions. Would it still pass it's MOT without the cat because of the LPG?

  Spoke to someone yesterday who suggested that after I've left my car (1998 Peugeot 406 1.9TD)parked up for 2.5 weeks, the alarm will have drained the battery to the extent that it may not be able to turn over a diesel engine. Can anyone confirm or dispute this?

  Driveshaft was very bad after long trip... yes I know, shouldn't have done it. Peugeot main dealer £190 total (urgent as I use the car for part time job.) If the other side fails will a recon part be worth fitting at a local garage? Or even a new one? Prices?

  Hi, I have a Peugeot 307 (2002) 2 litre petrol automatic.  My problem is as follows. On a cold start (first thing in the morning) motor start fine, after approx 20 secs  the motor then starts to chug as though it is running on 3 cylinders.

  Three year ago I was convinced by everyone to change my 2.0 ltr auto diesel to a new economical 1.6 auto diesel I still need space so peugeot eHdi came up as a car goes it's ok the gearbox is a total disaster area the egc automated manual is crap! Never again. But the worst thing about it my Skoda superb always retuned 45 mpg running around town and some motorway and 62 on a run of200 motorway miles.

   Hi all,  I bought a Peugeot 206 Roland Garros 1.4 automatic 2000 reg about 2 weeks ago from a local garage/dealer. Cost me £2,200, looked to be in great condition, had 60k miles on clock and had MOT done after deposit.

  Suggestions for a good build quality model with sliding side door giving access to lots of space with a flat floor please ? Caravelle looks good but it's huge (like the dog). Peugeot Partner of Citroen Berlingo look a bit small.
