  On my way into work, I normally see quite a few classic cars. But in the past two weeks, I've seen barely any. The last one I saw was a very early Renault Espace a few days ago. Anyone else seen any interesting cars on their way to and from work?

  Can anyone recommend a car that is easier to get in out of than my small volvo which has got to low for me to easily get out and in . i fancied a renault scenic 1.4 but have been told they have quiet a few problems in my price bracket about £1000

  While walking around my local area I have noticed a few two-car families where the two cars are virtually identical. One has two black Honda CRVs. Another has two Renault Scenics of similar vintage. Have they found the perfect car for their needs or do they just lack imagination?

  So I see Alonso is leaving Mclaren with no financial penalty on either party. Wasn't a surprise he'd be leaving though was it. Looks like a move to Red Bull or Renault most likely. So about to see a shake up of a few teams then - cannot be good for some drivers.

  Just purchased a 1994 Renault clio for my daughter as a first car. The problem she has is that when she brakes the brake lights light up as they should but the front sidelights also light up ? Any ideas what could be causing this ?

  Could anyone point me to any guide which shows which wheels will fit which car? i.e. Peugeot wheels fit citroens (obviously) and ford. Renault fit BMW and (I think) VW. Any help would be appreciated! {Subject header made less vague - DD}

  Has anyone had a noise from the air re-circulation flap on a renault megane. The noise is from the dash area above the glove box and only stops when you disconnect the wiring at the scuttle panel. Any ideas of what causes the noise and how much to repair? Cheers

  I love the design of some French cars but am reluctant to part with hard earned as I hear so many bad stories about quality. Mate has a Scenic, 46,000mls... engine knackered with shot pistons. Auto gearboxes on Renaults..did HJ highlight this? last about three years. Any info welcome.

  hi, just looking to tidy my motor up ready for sale, unfortunately found a nice red paint mark from somebody's door edge. Doesn't look too good on my blue renault Doh! Anyway way of just making it disappear? I have no car maintenance/repair knowledge at all. cheers

  It appears to offer the same service as part finder etc without charging anything to the punter. http://www.247salvage.com I have just tried it for my Renault Trafic to see if it would locate a replacement gearbox. We'll see H

  Ours (a 2001 Y plate with 38000 on the clock) has just failed its first MOT for this reason - this seems very premature? Need some ammunition with which to confront Renault UK. Thanks.

  Hi, I have a renault clio 1.4rt 1994 model & when it is running as the revs get to around 2000rpm the engine seems to die. But if the accelerator is pressed the engine responds. The only things I think the problem could be is either the throttle stepper motor or the throttle position sensor.

  My neighbour took me out to the drive to see my Mondeo pushing gently into the side of the wife's Renault. Handbrake was fully on. Only had the car a week. It's a Fordsure 2001Y 1.8. Garage claimed fully serviced before I got it. Anyone had a similar problem? Tony

  I bought my Renault Megane Alize in January 2001, with 19,000 on the clock. A sticker on the inside of the windscreen says, next service at 36,000 miles or January 2003. I have just reached 30,000 another six months to reach 36,000.
• Renault Clio II (1998 - 2001) - 99 1.4 Problem ticking over 29 Oct 2016 (Forum)
  He replaced the old valve but the car would randomly rev up and wouldn't pass emitions test. I therefore had to declare it SORN as I couldn't tax it! He removed the ECU and sent it to Renault who reported no fault, informing him it would be the wiring. I’ve now been without a car for 3 1/2 months and he doesn't know what to do now. I can’t even use it for part-ex or scrap page scheme and I’m at my wits end!!

  I bought a Renault Rx4 at the weekend after answering a classified ad on ebay which stated that the car was stunning, excellent driver etc . When I got home I was looking over the car the next morning and had a good look underneath the car which we could not do in the garage,only to discover that the propshaft to the rear wheels was missing.

  The outcome was that, the paint finish was poor and both front wings would need spraying along with the rear o/s quarter to get the car back to a good standard. So roll on September 2012 when the car would go back to the same Renault approved bodyshop that carried out the first repair. When I went to pick the car up I was totally gob smacked. Not only was the paint finish a million times worse but they also managed to curb a wheel.
