Agreed, very useful.
Just enquired about a starter motor for my mondeo. Fingers X'd as they are about £120 new. Last one I bought was £7.50 for a Marina.

Thanks to Hugo & David for those links, put a query in for my Mondeo starter on Monday night, received about six phone calls from breakers Tuesday morning, ordered one for £38.00 inc. and it arrived to-day complete with three months warranty.

I have heard that 2nd hand and an refurbished starter motors never last as long as the new ones. Am I correct in saying this?

Pretty much, but in a ten year old Mondeo, that's unlikely to be a concern.
