  He's hit the hedge which must have slowed him a little but still got enough speed to launch up over the bonnet of the BMW, over the roof of the Audi? and embed his car in the TOP of the ground floor window !!! • Volkswagen Passat (2001 - 2005) - 02 1.8 What are Track Correcting Bearings 21 Jan 2010 (Forum)
  A few yeas ago, the VW brochures for the old shape Passat used to talk about track correcting front wheel bearings. I would assume that this would be true of the Audi and Skoda range also as they share most of the underpinnings. What are these and does anyone know if they are still used on the more recent VAG cars ?

  After a bit of reading I wondered whats the worst treatment for a car (regardless of engine type). One of my mates brought an Audi once that had been sitting around not used for 6 months. As a result lots of problems happened and eventually the auto gearbox broke. Also if a car is thrashed repeatedly lots of problems happen.

  M5 Northbound yesterday Saw 3 grey Audi A8s with blue lights (looked like temporary ones) some had alternate flashing headlights. Travelling where possible up the outside land at well over 70 where they could. Did not look like police and no marked car with them.

  I have a budget of £20,000 I have looked at the new style Mondeo Diesel in the press and wonder whether an audi would be better. Iam looking to retire in the next year or so, After retirement it will be used to tow a mid sized caravan to the I.O.W about 6-8 times a year. -- (iam not a mechanic) Martin Winters

  I'm sure plently of queries have com in on this one but is the trick that Golfs and Audis seem to have of their elec windows lowering after locking the car remotely a common one? and is it a fault or just some wierd settiing if you press the remote button a special amount of times? Ultimately, can it be stopped so you don't return to your locked car to fine all four windows open!

  Recently there have been several threads with people saying 'never again' about various manufacturers, and there's also a thread going about VAG which basically says 'why buy an Audi when a Skoda is the same'. Even Honda and Toyota have even come in for some barbed comments. So, looking at new cars, which manufacturer (and its dealer network) is considered good these days?

  You know the ones; only the drivers side of the screen cleared, or driving with uncleared screen whilst waiting for demist to warm up, or scraping a postage stamp sized hole in the ice so you get the same view as a....well.....as an Audi TT driver! Saw them all this morning on way to work. How lazy and stupid can you get?

  Hi all, I have for a while been contemplating painting the alloy wheels on my 1984 Audi Coupe GT in white. The alloys are currently a dullish silver finish. The alloy wheels are standard on this car (the multispoke ones) Is it possible to paint or spray alloys at home or is professional equipment needed?

  My Corolla suffers from it, my brother's Avensis (xenon !) as well. I also noticed it on a current-shape Audi A8 (bi-xenon !). Now what's going on ? Surely there must be an explanation. - - - - - - - I am the only Pole over here.

  Looked very nice and I reckon that if it were released now it would still look modern. I also think the same about the 1988 Audi 80. Anything else built between 1975 and 1995 that could be new releases in 2005? -- Espada III - well if you have a family and need a Lamborghini, what else do you drive?

  I read (in the motoring section of one of the Sunday papers) that the Citroen/Peugeot 2.0HDi has a turbo. If this is the case, 1) why don't you get the audible 'whistle' that the VW/Audi TDi gives on acceleration? and, 2) does that mean they're not such a good buy 2nd hand (with all the warnings about older smoking turbos? and finally, 3) if they are still a good buy what mileage (with a serviced example)should you start to be wary?

  13k to splash out on something prestige but has a sports look to it, like the Audi A4 (GMBh Sports Kit inc), what would you go for? Things im considering is quality, reasonable maintenance costs etc etc. Any ideas, other than a Ford Mondeo as l have one of those already and would want to move away from that if i could.

  great result, all they need to rectify is the expensive parts list and first place will be a cert next year. Renault looking appauling again, other of note is audi who look terrible. And how do Seat make VW chassis better than VW? Rover-Mg result was decent - room for improvement. Fiat seemed to do well.
