Bio Diesel - jezbed
Has any one got any info on this stuff. i am going to buy a diesel and was going to run it on this stuff. The mechanic said oh it will ruin your engine, over time. I have only run a car for two tankfuls and it ran perfectly. There is a supplier local to me, and a taxi driver who was running a PD tdi audi a6 said he was running on bio-diesel. Any info would be gratefully received

Might help if you mention what diesel car you're thinking of buying.

In the meantime, a forum search (click just under where you log in / out) will throw up some past subjects regarding bio diesel.

1) Check that it is permitted by the manufacturer in you car, many of the latest ones are not allowed to due to incompatibility with exhaust particulate filters.

2) If your car can use it, use one certified to EN14214.

3) Avoid the stuff sold by amateurs.
