  • Car warranty 4 May 2018 (Forum)
Hi I took a car warranty out in February this year on my car unfortunately my car broke down on the 23 rd of March so I call the warranty company up to tell them what had happened ( MotorEasy) anyway time passed telephone calls after telephone call finally they send a engineer Out to the car to look at it the garage where the is had explained what the issue was ( Timing chain had snapped) told Motor easy the cost £2200 due to the work taking the engine out but they would not accept this any got told yesterday that the warranty does not cover this as it was a ongoing issue with the car .so any faults that come up with the warranty could not be covered as any car has potentially has ongoing issues so is is not worth the paper it is wrote on .i have learnt a very expensive lesson hear BE WARNED DO NOT take a warranty out with MOTOR EASY
  • BMW 320i - AA Warranty - bad experience 24 May 2013 (Forum)
Response from AA has been abysmal, they won't cover the costs - despite these components all being part of the overall systems their "guarantee" claims to cover, and also will only pay £48/hour for labour (which started off at £39.60 until I complained).

Has any one tried a Hyundai Getz ? The base model car gets a good review in what car, and it now comes with 5 year warranty, 3 years three servicing and 3 years RAC cover, all for £6995, before haggle. Guess you could get a few hundred £'s off that.

  • Peugeot 308 - Road traffic accident involving damage to roadsign 15 Oct 2011 (Forum)
Hi, I've recently been involved in a road traffic collision with another vehicle which also involved damage to a roadsign. The insurance cover for the traffic collision is fine but i've just received a letter from the local council telling me that I have to pay for the damage to their roadsign. Am I covered under my car insurance for these damage payments or will I have to pay for the damaged roadsign out of my own pocket?
  • Mercedes E320 Coupe - Insurance companies that will accpt snow tyres 16 Mar 2011 (Forum)

  • Volvo V70 SE 2002 - Air Conditioning Problem 24 Jan 2011 (Forum)
The dealer says that it may need to be 're-gassed' and I have booked it in for two days. Do these systems usually give problems? I have only owned the car for a few weeks and have yet to cover a 1000 miles. I hope that the Volvo warranty will cover whatever the problem may be. Does anyone have some thoughts on this or past experience please? Thanks ChiMan
