Best car I've ever had.

Superb is an apt name. It has a smooth ride in terms of both suspension and gear change.
Holds the road well and goes just where you point it. I am 6' 5" and don't, for the first time ever, need the seat as far back as it will go! With the driver's seat set for me I can sit behind it with room to spare.
As a tow car for my caravan it is without equal. On motorways it is rock steady at all speeds, even when boxy vehicles overtake quite quickly. Normally a twitch will be felt when the displaced air hits the caravan. Many caravan sites in Europe have a gravel surface at the exit. With a front wheel drive car and a caravan behind there is insufficient grip and wheel spin results. Not with this car!
I use winter tyres on 16" wheels during the cold period and have been very impressed. I was never stuck, or in any trouble whatsoever and I have a regular journey to a town in the NE noted for snow and difficult conditions on a steep hill.
The negatives - fuel consumption is not great, but I knew that before I bought it on a VAT free deal, and would probably buy the diesel version next time. However I can use a lot of petrol before I use up VAT difference, bearing in mind the price difference between petrol and diesel.
The boot is not as big as my previous vehicle (Citroen C5 estate), but I can live with that - just.
