Great car that could have been even better if the designers had used it first

I took delivery of a new Superb Elegance 170 TDI Estate with manual box towards the end of March 2010. Was going to replace my 07 plate Passat SE Estate 140 TDI manual with another until I read some early reviews and looked at the hatch.

This is a Company car, maily used on the motorways M25, M40, M1 etc, that travels 40,000 miles a year and needs to last at least 3 years without too many replacement parts.

Just had the first service done at 10,000 miles.

This is a great car - better than the Passat (I've had 3 over 9 years) - and the MPG is slightly better. However, it could have been better if the designers had used it first - floor in the back is not level when the rear seats are down unless the optional floor is ordered, the smaller fuel tank means refueling every 500/550 miles rather than 600+, the seat is not as comfortable after 3 hours and I have a noise sometimes when changing gear that should not be there. As the dealer says they cannot find I'll see if it developes.

Whilst I found the sales teams at the supplying dealer very helpful and have asked for reports after supplying the car, I wa snot impressed with the service department - long delay when calling to book a service and no answer when calling to see if the car was ready. Very different to calling any of the VW dealers I have used. I'll be using another dealer for the next service.
