02 1.6 Non-start shortly after new ECU fitted - shafto64
Had a different ECU fitted at weekend to my focus

Car ran ok for a hour or two

Then just died, turns over but no spark at plugs

Could the garage have killed the replacement ECU, i think he left my old coil pack on cos he said it was ok.

He is baffled after his reader came back with no faults and has now passed it on to a local company with a better scanner to try and trace the fault because i have no error codes on the ECU.

Any suggestions, so i have an idea before they try and tell me any different tales.

Update:

Had my original ECU repaired and they installed a GENUINE Ford Coil Pack and the car is now back on the road.

I now have correct idle speed, My speedometer has not gone faulty...yet.

Only problem now is car seems hesitant at low revs or puling away. plus once really warmed upit occasionally seems to hunt on idle before pulling away, but only when at biting point on clutch.

any ideas before i get another hook up to computer tester.
