The sporty offerings from the VAG group are fitted with a device to increase cabin noise, perhaps emulating a bigger more powerful engine. The MK6 Golf GTI 2009 started with an accoustic coupling from the inlet manifold to the cabin and graduated to an electronic digital sound generator (2011) and pressure transducer, the Soundaktor, which vibrates the car body.

My recently acquired diesel Sandero threw up code P049B, (egr valve low flow). I removed the egr valve, it was well clogged up with sticky black goo. I also removed the pipe that feeds exhaust gas to the egr valve, that was clean. All the orifices where the pipe and valve fit were cleaned out.
All reassembled and code cleared. 50 mile later P049B is back. So is there something else I should be looking at, or is it replace the egr time?... Read more
Agree. If its been blocked and the mechanism has tried to move while blocked then the components which do the moving might be damaged.
