Peugeot 306 - 1.4 - Y Reg - Electrical fault - Indicators and Wipers 21 Feb 2012 (Forum)
The second fault is with the windscreen wipers. They turn on and off as told, but don't return to the start position automatically, they just stutter across the windscreen as if they are trying to find their home. Any suggestions you guys have got will be truly appreciated before I have to part with any hard earned cash. -
Toyota Corolla - Low Idle Speed 4 Feb 2012 (Forum)
Ever since I bought it the idle speed seems to be rather low normally about 700, but ocassionally dropping to 600 with accompanying slight vibration. Pick-up is fine and the revs adjust normally for the automatic choke and when the air-con is switched on. I took it back to the dealership and they plugged it into the diagnostics computer and they said everything is O.K. and that Corollas tend to run with a low idle. -

Honda Jazz - Honda Jazz-cheaper in Scotland? 27 Jan 2011 (Forum)
Dear Fellow Members, I am looking to buy an automatic Honda jazz in a price range of 5000 pounds. Because the CVT is quiet expensive to repair, I would like to buy from an approved honda dealer. When I search I found that my nearby showrooms(in London) quote 6000 and above for a 2004 model, but showrooms in Glasgow and Cumbria quote below 5000! -
AXA advert 1 Sep 2010 (Forum)
"sick of aggressive drivers trying to get you out of the way -- considerate drivers get a big discount on car insurance -- aggressive ones don't". So -- "aggressive" drivers have automatically had accidents, and the "considerate" ones (who evidently hold people back on motorways) haven't? Drivers who sit on the right-hand lane at 68mph (which is the only bunch that seem to fit the profile on the ad) are the drivers they're after? -

Ford Mondeo III (2000 - 2007) - 05 2.2 Heated screens and seats 14 Jan 2010 (Forum)
However when I test drove this next one I noticed the front and rear heated window button lights came on when I turned the engine on. I have been told by the seller that this is suppossed to happen as automatically linked to the temperature. My old 54 plate ST did not do this (admittedly it is very cold at the mo)... Is this right? Also - any ideas why the heated seats wouldn't be working... what needs checking? -

I have been offered a speed awareness course 25 Oct 2009 (Forum)
After some correspondence, I have been offered a speed awareness course in either Brighton, Eastbourne, Bognor or Horsham. I am inclined to accept the Horsham location, however the don't do automatic cars there. So this would mean driving a manual gearbox car - something I haven't done much of for about 15 years - apart from driving my Minor. Does anyone know how much driving is involved? -
How willing to negotiate are used car salesmen? 2 Sep 2009 (Forum)
I'm looking around for a small automatic. Had a brief look at a couple of cars and a chat with the salesman without making an offer yet. When I've asked if the price is open to negotation I've been told something like "not really\not much - small autos are hard to find so are more expensive". -
KIA Sedona (2006 - ) - The worst engine/gearbox combo? 24 Aug 2009 (Forum)
Currently driving a KIA Sedona diesel automatic whilst overseas. Possibly the most unsafe car I have ever driven. The turbo lag is so great that the car will not pull the skin of a rice pudding until it reaches about 1,800 revs at which point it takes off like a scalded cat. -
KIA Sorento SUV (2003 - 2009) - 04 3.5 Engine management mil light 25 Jul 2009 (Forum)
I have a strange problem with the MIL light. The light is on all the time and the power is down,my scanner says there is no fault codes stored and the system is normal but when I start the engine and read the data stream, the speed sensor is fluctuating between 12 and 135 mph whith the car stationary.I first thought of an air flow meter problem as there are no codes stored but this speed sensor has me stumped, does anyone know if this has happened before as the local dealer is no help at all. PS,it has an automatic gearbox. Thanks Simon. -

Toyota Corolla (1997 to 2002) - 99 1.6 SoundProofing 24 Apr 2009 (Forum)
Hi folks, I've got a 1999 Toyota Corolla (automatic), very low milelage@50K, nothing really wrong with it except the usual stuff with cars in this class. Anyway, my daily commute to work is a good 110 miles round-trip and my beef with the car is the non-existent cabin insulation. -
Ford Focus (1998 - 2004) - 02 2.0 ST170 hesitation at 2200rpm 21 Apr 2009 (Forum)
I don't notice it on cruising anymore, only when accelerating through the range in 2nd gear. Sometimes it feels like an automatic, when you put your foot down in, say, 3rd and it accelerates for a second then decides to change down and there's a surge of power when it locks up. Anyone had this before? Thank you -
BMW 5-Series E39 (1996 - 2003) - 2001 2.5 ABS light staying/coming on 12 Mar 2009 (Forum)
My father-in-law has asked my to post a question on his behalf. He wondered if anyone has some insight into a problem with his 2001 BMW 525i (Automatic). The ABS light keeps coming on. Sometimes it stays on, sometimes it goes off and comes back on and sometimes it behaves i.e. goes off and stays off. The independent garage he uses has replaced the sensor (?) -
'Proper' small(ish) auto diesel? 24 Feb 2009 (Forum)
I've been looking for a chain-cam-engined, reliable, economical, small-ish diesel automatic that has been sold for long enough and in sufficient quantities for it to be available inexpensively secondhand. I'd hoped for a proper i.e. torque-converter, auto for its driving-characteristics but it's proving hard to find. -
Peugeot 407 SW (2004 - ) - Tip Auto - What's that? 5 Jan 2009 (Forum)
I'm idly looking in to automatics at the moment, having been so impressed with my wife's new DSG VW Touran. I don't have a lot of knowledge on the subject as I'd never considered autos before, but I suppose the beigeing process eventually gets us all and now I quite fancy one myself. -
Vauxhall Astra G Diesel (1998 - 2004) - 1998 2.0 di ls - turns over, but fails to start 23 Dec 2008 (Forum)
Could it be anything more simple , the mileage is 118k. Thanks Mark {edited subject header to remove repeated words that are automatically put in from your drop down menu choice and compulsory year and engine detail boxes}
