• Peugeot 207 (2006 - ) - 07 1.4 - failing to start when engine 11 Jun 2012 (Forum)
  Hi, just wondered if anyone had anything similar or knows what this problem could be. I have taken the car to a Peugeot dealership 4 times with regards to this and each time they believe they have fixed it but it always seems to happen again. It is fine when starting the engine when it is cold but after driving somewhere then trying to start it again after say half hour or ten mins etc it only starts if i rev it at the same time.

  i have just got my 1st familey car ie my peugeot 307 sw . the problem being i am having to disconnect the battery every night due to head lights coming on when connected ...when key is put in lights go off... take the key back out 5 seconds later head lights an ignition both come on together an stay on till battery is disconnected ........ can anyone help no one has got a clue who i av asked an am all out of ideas thanx rye ....

  The enginerecently blew up and was replaced at which time we changed clutch, flywheel and got a recharged FAP from peugeot. I'm pulling whats left of my hair out now as we seem to have tried everything and the garage bill is mounting.

  I have a 2009 Peugeot Partner Teepee, which suffers from a very poor and noisy ride.  It has had work done on the floor and the suspension 'jaws' have been replaced.  However, the road noise is high and the when the car hits a pothole the whole car shudders and vibrates.

  I'm interested in the Peugeot 3008, would need an auto and may use it often for journeys of less than ten miles a day so assumed a petrol engine would be better than diesel. Our local dealer could not find the petrol auto 3008 on his list.

  2001 peugeot 406 hdi. I cleaned the dozier or dozier valve on said car during the week. Next day I noticed a lack of acceleration accompanied by black smoke.....the car will not rev beyond 2500 rpm and struggles to reach 40mph.

  I made the mistake of buying another Peugeot...... I have a wheelchair adapted Partner Tepee which delivers the most awful ride to parrengers and driver alike. The suspension bottoms out on the slightest road surface imperfection and as for speed bumps....

  Hi. My first visit here and hoping for someone to help me please!! I have a '54 Peugeot SW petrol 2.0 and the antipollution fault message is showing and the car is juddering. Having scanned through various forums I am confused and need some clarity! One site said it is something to do with little magnets on the filler cap - I have looked and there aren't any magnets on my filler cap - is that why I have a fault?

  hi could some body please shed some light on my problem i have a 406 coupe 2.2 hdi  wich will not start when warm it has had a new in tank fuel pump ,new diesel pump ,new cam and crank sensors it has also been to a peugeot dealers to be diagnosed and came up with nothing it has the relevant  fuel pressure if you give it a slight sniff of easy start (not good idea i know) but needed to try some thing it starts instantley and runs faultlessly it also starts and runs fine from cold it was chipped last year before this problem started so i have had the original programme reinstalled thanks in advance

  I did see my first Audi A1 last weekend in my local Waitrose car park, which seemed appropriate somehow. Whereas in France this week I saw the new Peugeot 508 - nice from the front, ungainly from the rear I thought - and the new Citroen C4, which looked quite nice, which in the sector it belongs doesn't seem enough.

  Hello all After getting the "DIESEL ADDITIVE MINIMUM LEVEL" message on the multifunction display of my 53 plate 307SW 2.0 HDi, I bought a top-up kit from a Peugeot dealer. It consists of a 3 litre bottle of the EOLYS fluid, an empty 1 litre bottle, a tube and a tap. Having read this and other forums I realise that after filling the tank I'll need to get the additive dosing ECU and the main ECU reset.

  Hi, I have a 2002 Peugeot 307 - diesel estate and the exhaust is making funny noises.  It sounds very 'boy racer' like and it hangs down very low at the back/underneath.  Also; once the engine has been started and I drive a few hundred yards down the road there is a beep and a yellow/oragne light that flashes on the dash board - but it doesnt happen again in the same journey.

  After having recently (thanks to HJ's BR) become aware of Pug's ability to catch fire, and an ongoing - pollution control fault, Peugeot's slack attitude to customer service regarding this. I believe that we as consumers have to write letters of this nature to let companies know they have lost business because of poor quality, service or morality/ethics.

  just had a new (luk Clutch) fitted peugeot   406 hdi 90 ( REG 53)   After 3 days the pedal seems to of got a lot harder and then just at the end of pressing the   Clutch there is a kink, knot or grinning feeling   just like if the cable has a knot or kink in it I know it's hydraulic phone clutch centre was told to bring car back did so was told fault found could be slave cylinder or master cylinder but not clutch it was not like this before clutch went can you help many thanks    PS clutch centre not very help full I've had to phone them keep telling me they call back after speaking to luk technical

  i have a running fault with a Peugeot expert 2.0 hdi. it starts and runs with 298 bar at the fuel rail-not fluctuating when idling. it will sit idling all day but when u switch off it runs on for 5 secs. when you try and drive it just cuts out but will start up and stay idling. i've replaced rail pressure sensor, in tank fuel pump and also fitted a re=con high pressure pump. checked all the wiring. keep getting fault code p1138. after replacing the hp pump it did run ok for about 4 hours. any ideas?

  hi son has a 57 plate peugeot 407 coupe 2.0 diesel, the same engine i believe has in my 2.0 ford focus, 58 plate. my focus has a pre-heater which when outside temp is at a certain low temp, setting the temp control to max the pre-heater activates. not sure what that actually entails, i.e. i don't think the engine warms up any quicker but i think it works on the interior heater. so on driving first thing on a icy morning the car interior heats up quicker. does anyone know if the 407 has a similar setup as i cannot find any info on it in the owners manual. thanks

  Hi Guys, I don't know where my earlier post went, so trying again... I had my car serviced today at a Peugeot dealer. I had the 60 000 service done at 50 000 (car is 7 years old). But the techinician had stamped the 80 000 box on the following page of the service book! When I complained, the lady tippexed this box out, filled in the correct box and attached a note to the book, on their letter head, explaining why this was done.

  Hi, I have a peugeot 306 meridian 1.9 TD it has always been a pretty good starter except when it starts it does chuck out a bit of smelly grey/white smoke though i am not sure if this is a sign of the current problem.

  Hi, the engine diagnostic warning light has come on on my peugeot 406 R plate (72,000) yesterday ,since this happened the engine has cut out twice when I try to drive away or when I put any lights on and try to drive the car cuts out but turn the lights off the car drives but is very sluggish in 1st and 2nd gear .The warning light only come on now and then does anyone know of a common cause for this fault (with an easy fix) change the plugs or do i have to take it to somebody with diagnostic equipment?
