Peugeot 307 2002 - Exhaust help - flashing light.. - georgemadge

Hi,
I have a 2002 Peugeot 307 - diesel estate and the exhaust is making funny noises. It sounds very 'boy racer' like and it hangs down very low at the back/underneath. Also; once the engine has been started and I drive a few hundred yards down the road there is a beep and a yellow/oragne light that flashes on the dash board - but it doesnt happen again in the same journey. The light doesnt seem to relate to anything on the dashbord - it just flashes a few times. Any idea what the problem is? Could it be related to the exhaust?

The car is going in for an MOT at the end of the week and no doubt these issues will be resolved then - but I am keen to find out what the problem is likely to be and a ball-park figure of repair costs...

Peugeot 307 2002 - Exhaust help - flashing light.. - injection doc

sounds like you need a visit to a garage to check the exhaust, on the 307 there are pressure sensors on the exhaust linked to the management system.

It really should have a visual check and diagnostic check first, may have a broken rear box.
