  Does andone have a 'New' style {2002 to date} Espace? If so any good? I've also read that the engine is shared with the Nissan 350Z. So is it a Renault or a Nissan unit? Also, a lot of stories about Renault diesel engines packing up after 50,000 {cam bearing failure} etc. Auto parking brake sounds a potential prob too?

  I have recently purchased a Nissan Primera, and shortly after buying it started to notice a smell of rotten eggs. Basically the cause of this was the Alternator overcharging the battery, which started to dry it up and emit this smell.

  I need to replace my old Volvo and I have been looking at the mini MPV's by Renault, Nissan Citroen etc. I seem to have narrowed it down to the Tino and the Scenic, but they both have their pro's and con's, the Tino has the Nissan reliablity and has more space inside and looks ok from the outside, but is let down by the dash, plasticky and noisy wiper system(on the one I tried).

  I know the latter model Titanium X should be iPod connectable, but that's a lot of money for a Ford. I would probably rule out Petrol equivalents myself due to poorer MPG compared to my Nissan. Adapters seem readily available to swap the radio. Vauxhall Vectra 1.8 Petrol - SImilar specs for MPG CO2 etc to my Nissan, but - too plastic.   That's about what I got for the £4000 budget.

  Hi, I have a Nissan Almera Tino 1.8S - 2001, 104K on the clock. Always been as good as gold, so reliable. About a month ago I noticed it was driving a little bit 'jerky' when accelerating - I thought it may have just been the excessively wet and cold weather we have had recently.

  So Q1 - how do I tell if it is actually a genuine brand new Nissan part? What part number should it have? Is £600 the right price for this? I got the car back on Friday - paying the huge £900 bill - and then yesterday the turbo went in spectacular style and now the car is dead and too expensive to repair.

  Nissan dealer looked at it today and says they would need to drop out the engine and take it apart to work out what is wrong as they can't tell where the leak is coming from. They have said it is definitely not the breather pipe.

  Got the camshaft sensor replaced but warning light still came back on.  Was not with wife at the time.  Apparently, the mechanic rang a nissan service bloke he knew, described the problem and said straight away, timing chains are gone.  I was aware that there had been a historical fault on this model, but had hoped we had dodged a bullet with it, obviously not though.

  Hi guys.. newbie here I am very interested in a Nissan Note that a trader is selling but the HPI check that i did has raised a few questions regarding mileage. Now i dont understand how the figures can be way off. I know the car was MOT June 2009 which show 28K thats fine and then it goes up to 40k then down to just 40 ????

  The dealer has said that they can't think of anything that was done on the service that could cause the mpg problem & that all they can do is to do an emissions test (to check the engine's running OK) & 'reset' the engine management system. Has anyone heard of this type of problem (particularly with Nissans!) before or has anyone got any suggestions????

  I decided to do a bit of research and so have obtained parts prices in the UK and in the US, for a range of service parts for one of my cars. The car is a 1998 Nissan Maxima/QX (\'A32\' chassis). The parts prices are listed below. The first price is from a UK Nissan main dealer; the second price (in US $) is from a Nissan main dealer in Denver, Co. I have then converted the US price into UK sterling using an exchange rate of £1=$1.57 and given a sterling equivalent price (in parenthesis).

  Hello great people!  My wife owns a Nissan Qashqai Mk1 (J10?) 13 plate. 2litre 4wh drive (360 spec). 65k miles We only drive it 3000 miles p/a - essentially it's a holiday car (I can't take my company car abroad). Last summer when driving to Italy it started making a humming noise from the front right wheel area (we think).

  Think I've been a bit stupid and trusting of a franchised Dealer. I have just purchased a 6 month old Nissan from My local dealership. The car ( so I've been told ) has been A demonstrator and used by one of the garage staff. It has covered 5200 miles. The car has a number of options that made it An attractive buy - sunroof, 18 inch wheels and special paint.

  I got over to the hard shoulder and that was it, engine no go go. At least no fire, family ok. So my breakdown cover got the car taken to a Nissan dealership in Spain, who quoted £6000 for a new engine and turbo. Now I'm getting the car repatriated to the UK, to be assessed and repaired. Which brings me to my question: The used engine replacing / re-manufacturing industry seems particularly dodgy and a total minefield.
