  Likewise if it's mild overnight rather than freezing it will be ok. It only ever struggles if I have to wait for 'Pre-Heating' to go out which is why I'm fairly sure that it is the glow plugs - if it doesn't say 'Pre-Heating' I know it will start fine. Does my diagnosis sound right? Are they easy to replace or am I better getting a dealer to do it?

  Since I have had the CRV, I have noticed that when I am not in an excellent radio signal area, and have the heated rear window on, I loose signal. As soon as I get into a good signal area, it doesnt seem to make any difference. I have taken it back to the Dealer, who found the aerial base loose and tightened it up, but unfortunately this has made no difference.

  I had a driving experience this morning and would like other BR's opinions please. I was driving along a newly resurfaced road with a car in front of me, we then had to stop because in front of us was the yellow lorry that was repainting the road markings. At this point it was stationary doing some wording on the road, but it had parked inbetween the curb and a small central island (the ones with the blue and white keep left arrowed sign on it), now unfortunately this was at the brow of a small incline so any on coming cars where hard to spot.

  I have a Citroen ZX Avantage 1.4, 1992(J); in many ways it is an excellent car - very well-balanced, nice to drive, and very light for its size. The problem is the brakes; the calipers at the front are prone to locking under heavy braking, and one of them gives rise to extraordinary creaking sounds when the brake pedal is depressed and when the car is stationary.

  Hi all, I am new to this so here goes: I have recently bought an Audi 80 TDi 1994 M reg. When driving the car, espcecially when going round sharp bends or when im turning the steering allot the front wheel feels as though it is slipping or spinning on its own accord. what could this be? I have also noticed when you put your foot down when the car is in standstill the wheel will spin more than the right wheel and the car will pull slightly to the left...but this is only when you put your foot down like a drag racer.

  Also when pushing the car hard it also tends to heat up rapidly, again causing the fan to kick in! I have checked the oil and water and they are fine (no mix of either!). My next plan of action was to attempt to replace the water pump, however before I do this I was wondering if anyone had any suggestions as to what could be causing the car to be running hot?

  Hi All, I'm having a problem with my Peugeot 306 and engauging gear when the car is over heating. The gear change is quite heavy anyway, but becomes progressively harder and then impossible when the car warms up to about 90 degrees or so. I leave the car for about 30 seconds and then the clutch becomes loose again.

  The December issue of AutoTechnology (I really should get out more) has an article all about 'The Nose Team' at Audi. It's their job to smell various interior components, material and the passenger space in the car as a whole, in an effort to improve the car's smell. Bits of interior are heated in preserving jars (the kitchen kind) then smelt by the Nose Team who grade the smell from 1-6. No parts or materials can score more than 3 or they won't be used.

  We have a six month old 5 which is a superb car apart from its voracious appetite for front tyres. At 4900 miles there is a band of wear of 25mm width for the full circumference on the inside shoulder of each front tyre, the offside being the worse.

  Hi, I have just replaced my radiator on a p reg Rover 214. every thing seems fine apart from the fact my heaters are not warming up. the engine will get warm and the fan is cutting in, just no heat.(They did work before I changed the rad.) Any help would be welcome as its freezing.
