• Renault Captur 1.3 Red Edition - Can this be real? I’m impressed with a French Car 11 Jul 2021 (Forum)
   It has a conventional handbrake but the Small boot is not so good. So what’s going on at Renault ? Let’s hope the ex director does the same for JLR! One question has any one had any experience of the 0.9 petrol. Is it four cylinder and is the diesel beset with DPF problems if used locally ?

  It appears this engine is fitted to a number of Dacia's,. Anyone know if this is a common problem? I notice that there are about 3 special Renault tools used to replace the chain and guide but it really didn't look particularly difficult with these tools. A replacement car has been purchased and this one will not be driven until I have researched the matter further.

  I am wondering if I replace the battery and the fault is elsewhere the new battery will simply drain. Has anyone any ideas of any particular fault with Renault clio's or could it be just an old battery worn out by age and recent overuse for starting problems.   Hi all, I have a Renault megane 1.5dci 55 plate. Looking for some help so i dont get mugged of at the garage. The problem is the battery light is on when i start the car and sometimes have trouble getting it to start. Even after a long drive when i next start the car the battery light is once again lit up.

This can be disconcerting as the pedal sometimes sticks there when you are accelerating through the lower gears and you find yourself accelerating without control.

  I have pulled all fuses from drivers side fuse box and under the bonnet and all seem ok have also removed and replace all the relays under the bonnet but still no joy. Does anybody have any ideas please as I can't afford to pay the extortionate Renault prices but don't mind getting tools out and getting my hands dirty ha, cheers.

  The gear knob was £75 ,and the cable £45 ,unbelievable ,so it's down to the local scrap yard for me .Probable cost £5 each and a bit of time spent scrabbling around a dirty old car . How do renault and perhaps other manufacturers justify prices like these ?

  I Know there are a lot of these windows posts on here, but I could not find one, on here or google, that helped me. Me and my girlfriend have just bought a 1.5 Renault Megane Dynamique. It has run into an issue within its first week. From day 2 the front passenger window has played up. It worked at first, then it wouldnt go back up from a partially opened position.

  Hello, I wonder if someone can help. I have a problem with my Renault Megane (2004 2Litre) a few times I have had an issue with the car starting. The car does fire up but as soon as you take your foot off the gas the engine cuts out. The yellow service light and Check injection message appears.

  Can any one help? My car ems light came on and my car lost power, took it to renault dealer they put on a new coil pack. A week later same thing happened again, they replaced the coil pack and told me it was because the previous one was faulty. 2 years later the same thing has just happened at my local garage.

  Hi   We have a Renault Kangoo Authentic 1.5dCi ('03' reg) which has recently been experiencing an occasional/intermittent problem with the speedometer (drops to zero) and odometer (stops incrementing).   When this occurs, the car doesn't seem to run as well (a bit like you are in too high a gear for the road speed), though accelerating a bit seems to improve this.

  Hi everyone, does anyone on here have a Renault Modus by any chance? I'm having problems with my 05 dCi chewing alternator belts like they are going out of fashion, second one in less that a year. The last one was fitted Thursday (21/7) and its already started to shread on the right hand side of the belt, pulled a shreaded peice of belt off yesterday, about an inch's long.

• Renault Scenic - Tow bar 8 May 2011 (Forum)
  Bought an A1 Towing tow bar for my Renault Scenic from a guy that took it off his Mothers car, downloaded the instructions for fitting from their website, and fitted it to my car. The tow bar is for a 1997 to September 2003 and as my car is a 2001 model, it falls within the range.
• Renault Clio II - Do I have the right to get some money back? 5 Mar 2011 (Forum)
    I have been told that someone has removed the instrument cluster and messed around behind it to hide the fact that the ABS doesn't work.  Renault have ordered me a new cluster and are going to fit it this week but that may not solve the original ABS problem but will show what the problem is.  I brought my car from a private garage and the cost of the works to be done is £52 less than the price I paid for the car - do I have any right to go to the garage and ask for some money?
• 2005 Renault Grand Scenic 1.9 DCI - Loose Oil Filler Cap 24 Aug 2010 (Forum)
    This obviously shouldn't have happened but the oil filler cap and oil dipstick are collocated on these engines and seem to be a two part design with the top part being able to be unclipped.  I've complained to Renault to no avail.  Has anyone else had experience of these filler caps coming loose?  Trying to gauge whether there is a common problem here.

  Here's one for my other car. Renault Laguna 1.6RT 1998 facelift model. Turn the steering full lock to the left, slight noise like broken spring, centre wheel and the car keeps pulling violently to the left. • Renault Kangoo Combi (1999 - 2004) - 01 1.9 Starting Issue 13 Nov 2009 (Forum)
  Renault Kangoo Diesel 1.9 van always starts first time in the mornings, but will not rev-up, just runs on a rough tick-over. Switch off and restart and it runs fine. I have to do this every morning. Using the vehicle is not a problem during the day; it will stop and restart all day long, which suggest something to do with cold start.
• Renault Laguna (1994 - 2001) - Scrappage 3 Nov 2009 (Forum)
  I've currently got a W registration Renault Laguna. Will cost an arm and a leg to get it through it's next MOT which is due on 4th Feb, 2010. The road tax runs out on 31st January 2010. My car was 1st registered on 17th March 2010. So by the time 17th March 2010 comes around, my car will not be eligible for the £2000 scrappage allowance.
• Renault Clio II (2001 - 2007) - 01 1.5 Oil light problem. 29 Oct 2009 (Forum)
  Obviously not right. I suspected the oil pressure switch but not sure where it is,haynes manual is useless. My renault dialogys cd no longer works after I upgraded my computer so that's no help. Is the oil pressure sender the one on front of engine,to the right of oil filter, with a single wire going to it? If so I tried grounding the wire and light still goes out on it's own (without engine being started!).
