VW Polo 2004 1.4L - 54 Plate VW Polo randomly cutting out 26 Oct 2019 (Forum)
I left it turned off while I waited for the recovery mechanic, and thought I would try one last time - low and behold it started again and kept running with no issues, the engine sounds fine and after the mechanic got to me, there was no fault to diagnose - he drove behind me for about 25 minutes to check it didn't happen again and it didn't - so I got to work OK, parked up - tried turning it over again when there just in case and it's fine. -
Kia Rio - Advice please! 21 Apr 2016 (Forum)
Hi I just wanted to get a bit of advice with my car (Kia Rio Diesel, 2009, roughly 100,000 miles). A few weeks ago we took it to a garage after we noticed a small fuel leak when it was parked on a slope (had been driving fine otherwise). The garage had a look and there was a crack in the tank with a bit of corrosion – they replaced the tank and hose assembly. It drove fine initially but then after roughly 50 miles then engine warning light came on and it limited itself. -

Rejected car and V5C 9 Nov 2019 (Forum)
I'm insuring it and taxing it. I have no control over what he does with it now eg speeding tickets / parking fines. When you reject a car are you supposed to transfer the ownership back to the dealership ? What if they don't want the car back ? Can you transfer a car to somone else without their permission ? -

My 1999 c230k was fine just yesterday and then this morning when I started it the rpm just kept revving up past 6000 in park. so I shut it off and tried again then it did it again so I let it go and it stopped and went back down but only to 1500. -
VW Polo - Engine cuts out when on full lock and stationary 8 Dec 2013 (Forum)
I then turned it all the way right - it cut out. I went shopping then returned to my car about an hour later and it was fine. I have had garage check hoses, temperature sensor and fluids and everything seems ok with those. The annoying thing is that the problem seems intermittent and not consistent at all, but shouldn't be happening. -

I parked my ford for 5 weeks without starting it, when I came back I tried to start but it did not, I tried a few more times then it started the next day I had the same problem and then it started again, I drove for 200km and the car just stopped on the road. -
Hyundai Veloster - Hyundai Veloster 22 Aug 2011 (Forum)
Was at Woburn Safari Park today test-driving (I know, I know – I spend my life test-driving but not purchasing ...) the Hyundai i40 Tourer. It's pretty damn fine in fact (well, the the 1.7 CRDI 136PS Premium auto variant was to my mind) – although I obviously couldn't put it through it's paces whilst inching round the lion enclosure, etc. -
Slow punctures and tyre pressure 30 Oct 2009 (Forum)
Anyway I inspected the tyre and it seems fine, and I would expect that a ceramic cup would not really damage the tyre. However, it made me wonder, how exactly would I spot a slow puncture early? Would I just check the tyre pressure a couple of times over the next day? -
Vauxhall Corsa D (2006 - ) - 06 1.3 Yellow engine 'spanner' and missing 17 Apr 2009 (Forum)
The rest of the journey is a small amount more 30MPH, then up onto a dual carriageway and 70MPH all the way. Both times, it's never murmured at the 70MPH bit, and if I park up and restart, the yellow light has gone. First time it did this it was due a service, garage didn't find a fault code, or if they did, they didn't report it to me. It's been fine for 4 months since then, but happened again this morning, exactly the same circumstances. -
The most economical... 16 Jul 2008 (Forum)
She's only small so driving positions are unlikely to bug her, but she does want good visibility and something very easy to park!
