  Hi all I am trying to fix a problem with a Renault Megane it is a complete non-start turns over but doesn't fire. Scanner is rading fault 57 1+4 coil circuit fault. i have swapped coils & plugs from another vehicle but still non-start. checked for spark & have a very weak spark. checked wiring & had ECU tested.

  I have recently bought myself a 2000 (W) Renault Laguna 1.6 16v. Having spent some time finding the right one I found they often sound like the exhaust is blowing from the manifold (my one included). This is especially noticable when the car is cold but is still there once the car has warmed up.

  Hi. I have just brought a renault espace 2.2 dci privilage 2001 on a y plate but i don't get it until saturday. I'm just wondering what should i look out for and can anyone say who has had one what they are like and what sort of MPG you can get out of them?

  No power at low revs unless the revs got to 3,200 rpm then the turbo came back into play and everything seemed normal. Fifth gear at motorway speeds was a waste of time. Local (non Renault) garage diagnosed the problem as the ERG (intermittent notice on the diagnostics) although the car is now working ok (Typical). No warning lights at all! Any ideas??? Thanks Scott

  I wanted to get one and have seen them on ebay but i read somewhere that although they look the same (i think its a standard renault model for clio/megane etc) but that sometimes depending on the age of the model it came out of the connection can be different. I dont wanna get one of ebay if its the wrong one? slt
• Renault Megane II (2002 - 2008) - 05 1.5 dci timing belt diagram 8 Apr 2009 (Forum)
  Hi does anyone have the timing belt diagram for a 2005 renault megane 1.5 dci...The alternator belt shredded into the timing cover and caused the timing belt to jump and no matter how we try we cannot get the marks to line up using the locking pins..Has anybody else had this problem and if so what is the answer....The car was still running but noisily and there was no misfire and no exhaust smoke after the belt had jumped.....Thanks Jim

  First of all it is a renault master that i have (camper van) and the problem is that recently i have the red battery light coming on for quite a while----i toured scotland last year and it was on for most of the trip. i fitted a new battery, fan belt, and a new alternator but it still comes on.

  Can anybody tell me how easy (or how difficult) it would be to replace the rear bumper on my partners Mark I Renault Clio? Some kind soul crashed into the back of her and cracked it then drove off, no structural damage fortunately just the bumper itself. I've been offered a second hand bumper for next to nothing so I was wondering if it is a possible DIY effort or is it too much trouble even attempting this myself.

  I bought a 2nd hand Renault Megane 2 months ago and it had a service history that included a replacement cam belt in Oct 2007. The car has been making a squealing noise when I start it up in the morning and yesterday felt as though I was losing power which I thought was the cam belt.

  I have a Renault Clio 1.5 dci 2002. Today whilst driving down the M4 at a steady 70-75 with the car driving as normal, i suddenly felt a surge of power and heard a small bang,looked in my rear view mirrow and a large cloud of black smoke has been left behind me.

  i have a renault laguna privalige 1.9dci on a 52 plate .the problem is when i set off it sounds like i have a hole in the exhaust.but at ideling no sound.Took it to garage he said he could not find anything wrong with it.i have read about turbo probs,no black smoke coming out of exhaust,no flat spot anyone help {don't worry, I'll add the year & engine to the subject header, seeing as you missed the 3 requests asking to do this yourself!}

  I see recoding companies advertising in the 'Useful Website' section of Honest John. Are these the best thing to do? What about replacing it with a Renault cd player off e-bay - has the radio to be fit/ compatible with my '97 model? I would like to retain the use of the stalk buttons and display.

  Hi, I have a Renault Megane (2004) 1.5 dci and I have had 4 lightbulbs go in the last month - 2 headlight bulbs, one sidelight bulb and one brake light. I have also had 5 different indicator bulbs since I bought the car in 2005.
• Renault Fuego 4 Feb 2007 (Forum)
  I've have just had a ride in an immaculate 2.0 GTX (french registered) one and it brought back some fond memories. Extremely comfortable in a way only an old Renault can be and quite fast, if a bit noisy and unsophisticated. I liked the black metallic paint and half moon alloys. Not bad for 1980. Sadly I haven't seen one in th UK for years, cars generally of this era were not well protected against rust and the Fuego was as prone as any.
• Roof bars for Renault Megane 21 Jan 2007 (Forum)
  I can only find bars that are suitable for cars without the panoramic sunroof. I could get some from the Renault garage but they are more expensive and these will only be used once. I can't see why the panoramic roof should make any difference - the fixing points are nowhere near the glass and the fixings look identical to a model with a completely steel roof.

  Vehicle - Renault Trafic Van, (camper), 2002 2.1 diesel. Hi, Hope this will be a simple answer. Had my van in for an MOT a couple of months ago and it has been stood since then. Came to use it this weekend and it judders quite badly at around 55 to 60 mph.

  My other half has broken my car. Renault megane 1.9 rn diesel. It went cold in the cabin as he came off the slip road, he turned it off sharpish and rac brought him home. He says it could be the head gasket or the head could be trollied - how can I tell if it is worth fixing?

  hello,i have a w plate renault espace 3 ltr v6 and have a problem with the central locking. when locking and unlocking the car, all doors will lock and unlock apart from the drivers door. the door motor is new and i have the same electrical feed at the a post wiring that i have at the locking motor . i only get a pulse when i open the car on both wiring connections , am right in thinking it is the central locking control unit ?

  Has anyone else got this engine, maybe in a Renault or Nissan Micra? When I bought mine I was averaging 49mpg, it was quite an event getting it to 50mpg. Now after almost 12000 miles and an oil change, it is averaging 56mpg. I have done the brim to brim checks and it equates accurately with the digital display.
