  Hi, I purchased a Nissan primastar Van 2005 on a Sunday drove it home, all good. went to work Monday & Tuesday no problems. Tuesday evening went out parked up for 2 hours, tried to start it, with no luck. It will start run for a few seconds & cut out.

  Hi, I have just bought a 2004 Nissan Primera 2.0 SVE (P12 model) and just noticed that when in neutral and out of gear, there is a slight rattle coming from the engine bay. WHen i depress the clutch it goes , and driving i cant hear it either.

  Hi, I have a Nissan Micra, Y Reg, Year 2000 model. When I put the fan on in the car, it only runs on the number 4 speed and nothing else. I believe it's called a rheostat. Not a problem, but noisy & gets hot in car.

  just bought a nissan almera tito 1.8 drove it from newcastle to boro bout 40miles no smoke  about 2 days later i checked oil and it was off the dipstick markers very low although oil light wasnt on , i drove to garage to get some oil and light came on so i put the correct oil in and a day later it started smoking from exaust not black like a white greyish but pleanty of it and it smells its a lovley car on a 54 plate only got 64k on clock .... any sugestions please would be very much appreciated                                           thanx                                           chuckandpixie

  Hi I recently bought a Nissan Micra with inbuilt parking sensors.  However I want to take my driving test in it but have been told by the DSA that I need to be able to switch off the sensors for my manoeuvres.  Anyone got any idea how to do this as I have checked the handbook but am drawing a blank?

  Evening again, I posted for first time in general discussion forum so wont go into first time details etc ..... New car today, Nissan Almera 1.4 SE 3dr,  its only got 31000 miles but it seems that when engaging reverse gear for first time when engines started, it crunches, all other times on that trip are fine. Thought maybe the clutch wasnt pressed properly but my foots nearly going through the floor when it crunches.

  Anyone know if the new Nissan Tiida will be coming to Europe, to replace the Almera? Just rented one for 10 days and 2100km in South Africa and I give it a big thumbs-up. Not the kind of car I'd ever look at twice normally, and I can't say it's very pretty, but it swallowed luggage and people and went very rapidly for a small petrol engine.

  Wife currently has a 2000 Mazda 323 1.5 with around 85,000 miles on the clock. Wife has said that she wants a Nissan Note for her next car and I would prefer it to be a diesel. Cost to change budget will be between £1000 to £1500, bassed on a 2006 1.5 DCi Note, I think we will have to wait until 2012 before this comes feasible, or have a got my caculations wrong.

  Has the engine on this model a belt driven cam and if so how often should it be changed? Need I use Nissan coolant for a change or will the universal type stuff do? The vehicle has done 55k and although the service book is stamped up it is not clear what other jobs have been done. The main dealer who stamped the book is no longer trading so I can't ask them.

  I'm sure the Nissan was safer, more economical and it didn't smell as if it was running on coal dust but how can any manufacturer produce a car that is so utterly bland?

  Hi, I have a 52 plate Nissan Almera Tino. Good reliable mini-MPV purchased 18 months ago for £6k (36,000 miles on the clock then). I re-programmed the locking system for a replacement key fob. Somehow, I've switched off the anti-hijack feature, i.e. the driver's door unlocking on one plip, the remaining doors opening on the second plip.

  I've got a 1400cc Nissan Sunny (1990 model with 12v carb engine) which has been running poorly for a while. The engine began misfiring, so I changed the distributor cap & rotor arm, and checked the leads (which are fairly new anyway).

  Hello I now have a nissan primera 1.6 t reg and noticed that the gaiter is split.This is one job I will not do and I have had a quote of £30 plus for me to supply the part £5.I'm thinking that this is very reasonable indeed for what seems such a hard job going by the haynes manual.

  I've recently bought a W-reg Nissan Almera 1.4, and have noticed a knocking noise coming from the offside-front corner of the car, when travelling at speed (from 50mph ish). Sounded at first like a dodgy driveshaft, but I took the car to a good local garage, and they did a "pre-MOT inspection", found no problems with the wheel bearings, driveshafts or CV gaiters.
