  I am very shortly going to a track day driving experience. I have the choice of a  Ferrari F430, Lamborghini Gallardo, Porsche 911 Turbo, Audi R8, Aston Martin DB9 or a Maserati Gran Turismo.
• Peugot 407 - timing belt or chain? 4 Nov 2013 (Forum)
  Does my Peugot 407 HDi 2007 reg have a timing belt or chain?  The service interval says the belt needs replacing at 100,000 or for arduous driving 75,000.  I do a school run 2 times a day that's 8 miles each way from a cold start - should i get it changed at 75,000  (if it's a belt?) Many thanks.

  Yesterday the fan in the car went into overdrive and is now permanently at the maximum setting. It doesn't matter whether I put a/c on or not or if I turn it down on the console. It's driving me mad! The only thing that stops it is to switch off the engine. Can anyone help in saving my sanity?!

  The car has only done, 6.5k, but the tyres are extremely noisy, spoiling what is an excellent motor. The tyre pressures are right, and i can tell an immediate difference when driving on smooth tarmac. Is this normal for these tyres, or is it normal for this car if they were fitted with an alternative?   I am interested in a buying a Ford Mondeo car , its a lovely drive . The problem is that it has slight bubble rust by the petrol cap ( has been resprayed). Has anyone experienced this with a car before ? any input would be welcomed . It passed its MOT in February , mileage 120000 and its a 2001 1.8 Verona Lx .

  I am considering an Audi Q5 2.0 SE Quattro to replace my Passat CC 2.0TDI CR DSG which Is a company Car I get 44 - 50 MPG from the VW in mixed driving and its been OK, but is coming up for renewal. What realistic MPG are people getting from these Audis ? Any feedback welcome Cheers

  In the next month or so my friend will be looking to scrap his car. Where does he take his car to get scrapped and get paid for it? The normal route would be to drive down to local scrapyard but i have heard someone here saying there are places which weigh your car and pay accordingly. Scrap metal merchants? He is based in Nottingham in case someone can recommed someone.

  Looking for reliable, cheapish, good hatchback and I have narrowed it down to the Ford Focus (1.6/1.8) ,  Honda Civic (1.4/1.5),  and Mazda 323(1.6) It looks like I would only be able to afford around the 98/99 models. I has to be manual as I want to use it to help my son to drive   Any views on these

  Hi Just parking, and suddenly, with no warning, no reverse, no first or second gears! Has been driving beautifully until then. Got home on 3 and 4 ... but there was an bad smell, a cross between burning rubber and bad cabbage! Absolutely no warning whatsoever. Any ideas?? Cheers, Rob

  There  are many car type cams on ebay but they appear to be just for recording when you are driving, or are they for surveillance use as well? Does anyone have a car cam fitted? and if so are they any good?  any recommendations for a good make or brand?

  Hi guys. When I was 16 in june 2001 I did my cbt to ride a 50cc ped, I then passed my car driving test in january 2003. Im now thinking of getting a 50 or 125 to get to work. What if any can I ride without doing the cbt again? Cheers

  Ford states the mpg of the Fiesta is 67.  I was wondering what people are actually getting?  As I assume real life driving comes no where near this figure.....

  This car seems to good to be true... Automatic... no road tax... and 61 mpg. But I can only drive the True old fashion automatics What size is the boot..needs to hold a wheelchair.

  Hi, driving back last night, turned off my head lights and the central locking activated locking the doors, this happens ignition on or off! I replaced the indicator/lights/horn stem because I had a new one floating about and the problem still persists!

  started a new message as other top gear posting getting a bit long, thinking of new ideas for the boys on topgear to do that could re-ignite the show a bit and was wondering if any one thinks its possible to drive to the south pole like they did to the north pole a few years ago , or has any one else got any better ideas they could do?
• Suzuki Swift - New Suzuki Swift 3 Mar 2013 (Forum)
  Currently have one as a courtesy car and must say the economy is exceptional, with 52 mpg according to the trip computer, the car is excellent to drive even as a 1.2, well equipped and looks good in burnt orange. I was a never a huge fan of the previous model, finding it thrashy and not very economical, but the new Swift seems far better. Anyone else on here own one and are they reliable?

  I have a Ford Transit 06 plate and can't get the radio to work, the CD player works and you can use the radio itself but it doesn't pick up any radio stations and since its a commercial vechicle that does long drives some of our drivers are getting bored on the journeys. Any one got any ideas as to what i can do to fix it. Cheers

  hi there i have a problem with my astra i was driving home the other night when i heard a bang then my car wud not do more than 10mph then just stopped when ya turn it over its not firing up and there is a beeping near to the carb for about 10 secs have changed the spark plugs still nothing  any help pleaseeeeeeeeeee thanks
• Audi A6 Allroad - Audi Allroad Gear Change problem 7 Dec 2012 (Forum)
  I have a problem with my allroad (2.5tdi 2002 automatic). When I try to engage drive all the dashboard lights that indicate which gear I am in come on together and the car will not move. If I switch the engine off and try again the problem goes away after one or two attempts. Any ideas?
