I've got a 2005 Peugeot 307 cc. Yesterday the fan in the car went into overdrive and is now permanently at the maximum setting. It doesn't matter whether I put a/c on or not or if I turn it down on the console. It's driving me mad! The only thing that stops it is to switch off the engine. Can anyone help in saving my sanity?!

If the car has the automatic climate control system, then it is very likely that the electronic fan speed controller is at fault.IIRC ,the speed control is part of the fan blower unit and is not available as a separate part with a cost over £100.

Many thanks for the advice. Sounds very much like the issue I've got. Also sounds like there's no quick fix for this one. Cheers again
