    Has to be a estate and since I'm going to be doing 2k per month of motorway miles it needs fuel efficient and reliable I have looked at the long term car hire and it's about 450-800 UKP per month plus the excess Anyone offer any other options and what type of car should I be looking at, If I decide to buy a cheap S/H car (bear in mind that it needs to be reliable ;-))

  When the car has been garaged and the overnight air temperature falls to below freezing, the engine fires up OK. Thoughts as to possible cause(s):- a sticky relay ?  and ECU defect ?  A short or problem with the immobilser electrics ?

  I am buying an 02 Yaris 1.0 S from a (Mitsubishi) dealer. The dealer agreed to put the car through the MOT before hand over. Any MOT faults will be rectified by the dealer. Last week,the dealer phoned me. The car failed the MOT due to an ABS warning light coming on during the test.

  Whilst waiting my car was a citroen and I've just seen a citroen c4 automatic 1.6 2007 with 120000 but it's diesel and has amazing fuel rates, it's around £3200. Any experience with the c4's? Thanks :)

  I have a pricing dilemma on my hands. I need to sell my fathers Feb 2003/03 Passat S diesel 105BHP after his recent sudden death. Normally pricing such a car would be easy, but this car is still showroom fresh with only 32K miles on it an absolutely full SH, cambelt and water pump done a couple of years ago, full MOT new battery a month ago and in generally sublime condition to an almost atomic level, 10 months tax and a near full tank of diesel.

  Car is dated 1997.  In 2010 it had a tendency suddenly to lose power while driving.  Could keep going short distances but then lost power...

  2005  2.2dci  (136)  55000 miles.    I'm a steady driver these days, regularly acheiving high 40's mpg.  But when I need a bit of a bit of serious acceleration  --  drop down a gear or two, foot hard down on the accelerator and at around 3500 rpm the engine dies.
• Ford Mondeo 1999 - Mondeo II central locking 17 Aug 2011 (Forum)
  I have just also noticed that 1 press of the remote, which should release the driver's door and boot only, also releases the o/s/r door.  I suspect I have some corrosion on a connector somewhere which is hydroscopic causing loss of power to the lock. The trouble is, I don't know where to start looking. Does anyone have any suggestions, please?

  We were never tempted because we put a lot of our holiday rescources into going out to the Far east to see Mrs O`s family. But at times, in years gone by we met the most intense salesmen on the Spanish coast. Someone I once knew had one and offered us a holiday one year in theirs. But they wanted  not much less than a retail holiday price and after reflecting on it overnight I declined.

  Of the five larger petrol V6 engines Audi offered for the Series 2 A6 (the 2.8 litre 30-valve V6, the 2.7 litre 30 valve turbo V6 (also found in the B5 platform S4), a 4.2 litre 40-valve V8, and later, a new 3.0 litre 30-valve V6 to replace the 2.8 and an updated version of the 2.7's turbo), do any of them have reliability problems?   had the car on the diagnostic machine and the egr valve is faulty.....looked on tinterweb and a egr valve for my year tdci is about £90....i phoned ford up out of curiousity of how much they charge and they have told me after taking my reg that the egr unit i have was on a short run and it`s £438!!!!.....question is will i need that specific one or will any egr valve for an 06 tdci work? i`d be very grateful if anybody can supply a definate answer as ford would not commit to saying anything

  i have a saab 9-3 2007  i want to replace the number plate bulbs with led`s and also brake light bulbs too and indicators., side lights and wing repeaters. anyone help with what i need and where i can get.  i bought a few off ebay that were canbus no error bulbs but im still getting the strobe flash.

  Hi. My car is pulling to the one side when I brake over 50 MPH. It s like the front end nose heads to the right. I have since stopped driving the car and trying to find the problem. I jacked up both wheels and the wheels seem to move freely and can't see anything out of the ordinary.

  In particular the bump by Furniture Village in Southampton West Quay :-) Or any other makes to consider of that ilk. Budget of up to 8K , used mainly for lugging kids around, camping trips so S of France and several 600 mile round trips to Yorkshire. Parking quite tight in our street so nothing too long, and cheap to fix when someone karate kicks the wing mirror off. Thanks

  both reverse lights went out.So i bought new switch £5 ebay. only to discover that the wire to the switch had snapped in side the connector . so i bodged a repair, but it failed 2 days later . bought a connector at scrappy £2 and joined the wires up. but now only have n/s light, tried several other bulbs but no good . i wonder what have i done wrong. the connector has 2 small wires and seems to be common to a whole range of vauxhalls

  The one-year breakdown coverage included with the CC3's factory warranty ends next month. I was more than pleasantly surprised to get a letter from Ford marketing offering another year for £47.75. That's AA Home Start, Relay, Roadside and Stay Mobile(?)

  Just wondering if anyone knows if they are compatible, or at least any 1.8 owners out there, do the 1.8's have 4 studs on the hub for the wheel nuts. Thanks Gavin

  They all live up a narrow country lane so there will be other times when something a little higher up and rugged would be useful. I would reccommend him a Fiat Panda but are there any other small 4x4's around which are equally as good and cheap to tax, insure and maintain?

  Altea 1.9 Pdi D 90HP S base spec C3 picasso 1.6HDi VTR+ 90hp I'm having real trouble trying to decide on which car to get. Idon't like waiting so the altea can be had in 2 weeks and the citroen in 8 weeks. The altea has Esp safety system but is base spec whereas the c3 is mid spec but no safety esp control.
